Sepia Saturday

It's beautiful Sepia Saturday hosted by Ruckus the Eskie.  It is quickly becoming a favorite for blog hopping because the photography has been so fabulous.  If you haven't taken the time to visit the other blogs, I urge you to take the time today.

Today’s sepia shows Bentley’s seven on his side.  This mark was the inspiration for my book, The Returns.  The FBI Agent #7 is “returned” to Earth in the body of a Basset Hound.  In the story, he kept his soulful brown eyes and hair along with his badge number.

Thanks again to Ruckus the Eskie for this fun photo hop!

Onward through the Blogs!

  3. Bentley sure looks good in sepia! His 7 is definitely a unique marking, now wonder it inspired a character in your book. Love it.

    1. Thank you! He insists that he is the same humble Basset that he was before becoming a "Cover Dog" but his belly-rub demands seem more frequent to me! LOL!

  7. Oh wow!! That is so cool the "7'' !!! I've seen different things like that before, like a dog heaving a heart in their makings! So cool! Makes for a unique looking dog!!

  9. What better inspiration than the 7 on Bentley's side for a novel! Buffy Cat has a heart on her chest, but a 7 is way more complicated! Wonderful photo in sepia. Happy Sepia Saturday!

    1. A heart is really cool too! I was shocked when my husband pointed out the seven to me. We had Bentley a couple of weeks before I saw it. There are several bizarre coincidences surrounding us getting him and his number so I'm sure he was meant to be mine. LOL! : )

  10. That is so cool that Bentley has a 7 on his side! Duke doesn't have any fun marks like that but I love it when other dogs do!

    1. I have seen some neat markings on other dogs. We had someone ask if we painted it on him when we were out walking him one day. I thought that would be a bizarre thing to paint on the side of my dog!! I should have told him, "Yep, my other dogs are painted with numbers 1 thru 6!!" hahaha!

    2. JoAnn, Thanks and you are so welcome! I noticed that was a very common complaint on almost every blog I visited yesterday. I went to see what my settings were on my comments and saw I had the captcha too. It does make it so much easier! : )

    1. I appreciate you thinking of Sepia Saturday. I sincerely mean it when I say it is my favorite kind of photography. I always want to get one of the "Old Timey" photos done at Six Flags where you dress in the old clothes and they do the picture in sepia. One day I'll take the plunge! LOL!
