BOL!!! Good one! Mom always says burglars will die of laughter at our house! Keep up the good work, Bentley!
ReplyDeleteThanks Emma! It's always the silent sleeping Bassets that burglars have to look out for around here. : )
DeleteLOL that is a funny thought. Have a serene Sunday. Have some big easy today.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
It's a secret undercover operation! Thanks for visiting today.

ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Awww, shucks! Thanks Jenna <3
DeleteLOL. I always wonder how they would REALLY react to a burglar.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to think they would be aggressive, but I'd rather not ever find out firsthand! Haha!
DeleteLOL! I used to warn people to beware of our Rot's licker, he would definitely lick you to death. Max, though, he's a watch dog. Doesn't like strangers near his house. Especially his little girl. ~Rascal and Rocco
ReplyDeleteIt is a good feeling to know that your protected. A friend of mine in the U.K. has a Basset that has chased off two different burglars. Unfortunately, he was injured pretty bad during the last attempt. Bentley could surprise me.
DeleteGreat picture!! I voted for Bentley, it looked like he was in the lead :) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your vote. I'd really love to win those K9 Kelp coins to use for advertising giveaways. If you would, please vote again Monday & Tuesday. XXOO
DeleteWe walked by a house that had a "beware of guard dog" sign and the dog didn't even open his eyes as we walked by. It's hard work!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Maybe he was just pretending to lure in the bad guys!
Deletehe's sleeping on the job!
ReplyDeleteIt is very tiring being a scary guard Basset. : )
DeleteGreat picture. I think Veruca would open the door for burglars if she could.
ReplyDeleteI always used to say that our lovable Golden would show a burglar where we kept the "good stuff!"
DeleteBOL!! Oh Bentley, the peeps just don't understand your unique brand of home security, do they?! they can't steal anythings if their arse is broken!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
I am so glad to find someone that understands my master plan! BOL!!
DeleteYep, this is the biggest threat to burglars at my house, too!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! Happy Sunday!
Here's hoping that it works! Hahaha! Thanks for visiting!
DeleteThat's his plan, right? To trip the burglars? Good job, Bentley! :)
ReplyDeleteJan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
Of course, it is a great plan according to Bentley! Have a wonderful week!
DeleteI love your warning to burglars - LOL! My warning would be that my little dog will bite their ankles to shreds while my big scary looking dog licks them to death! Thanks for the chuckle!

The little guys are always the ones that you have to be wary of attacking! Dynamite comes in small packages!
DeleteAnd people thought we were too docile to stop a burglar until Stanley did it awhile back! You ARE a force to contend with, don't let 'em tell you any differently!!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Way to be awesome Stanley! I hope that we never have to test his trip the burglar theory!
DeleteSounds like a soild plan to me! A burglar would be looking for a snarling mean kinda guard dog....they don't expect the 'stealth' kind!
ReplyDeleteExactly! I'm a stealth Basset! I like that idea. Thanks : )
DeleteWell, that's just another way of protecting the home...the burglar trips and breaks their ankle...can't get away!
ReplyDeleteThat's the plan, the bad guy is injured and I look like a hero!
DeleteAww I love this picture... he's only pretending you know, I bet he's as alert as anything when he needs to be :)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Carrie and Pups x
He can hear a banana being peeled even when he is snoring. Haha! Thanks for visiting!

ReplyDeleteHow cute! QQ usually barks the house down when a stranger comes to the door, but there was once he was so pooped he didn't notice that a salesperson was bugging the hubby to death at the door. I had to poke him awake and point him to the door so he'll begin barking and we could use him as an excuse to ask the sales guy to go away!
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious! It does make for a great excuse to get rid of salespeople.
DeleteBOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Whitley! I hope you had a fun weekend. ; )
DeleteAwwwe! We think you make a great watch dog Bentley!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa!
DeleteThey're never going to get past you, Bentley! ;)

Thank you. He is a sleeping secret weapon! ☺
DeleteMOL Bentley! You're doin' it right!!
ReplyDelete(Pee Ess: we're so sorry we've been scarce...We have been SORELY mistreated this past month, and it does not look to be ending soon either.
Our grandhumans on BOTH sides have decided to move - and guess who gets to clean out houses and get them ready to be put on the market and sold? OUR HUMANS.
They're gone, like, EVERY WEEKEND. To other states even! And we're stuck with our human brother (who does NOT know how to give proper scritches, we might add.) HRMPF.
*rant over*
Bless your heart! We are always thinking about moving. Then, we think of packing up 20+ years of stuff and rethink our decision! Haha! It is difficult to find a good quality scratcher. You may need to use your caws to readjust his scratching.
DeleteWith Bentley on the job, I think you're all safe!
ReplyDeleteBunny
lol would hate to disturb him. went and voted! :)
