*Disclaimer: Barking from the Bayou was recently contacted by Easy Canvas Prints to post a review of their product. We received an 11” x 14” canvas print at no charge in exchange for an honest review. There was no monetary compensation and we only agree to promote an item that we truly believe in ourselves.
Have you ever taken the perfect picture of your pet? One that you look at and say, “Wow, I need to get this one enlarged.” Each time I say that, it is usually followed by, “Wouldn’t that look great on canvas?” We have this conversation quite often at my house. I think that I could cover at least one entire wall with pictures of Bentley. Obsessed much? Well…of course!
You can imagine my excitement when Rebecca at Easy Canvas Prints contacted me. She asked if I would like to receive an 11” x 14” canvas print of my favorite photograph. Yes! Yes! Yes! I had a good idea which shot I wanted to use. Since it was going to be prominently displayed, I thought it’d be best to consult with Bentley.
Bentley: “I’m glad that you did. If you are going to hang my face on the wall, I want to be sure that Daddy captured my good side.”
Me: “I may be a slight bit partial, but I think both of your sides are cute.”
Bentley: “Aww, you have to say that, it’s in the Pet Parents’ Handbook or something. Thanks anyway. An 11” x 14” canvas is a nice size to hang on the living room wall, or the bedroom, or the hallway. We may need to order several more Easy Canvas Prints. You know, they offer wall displays with up to nine canvas photos in the same or a mixture of sizes. That means we could include pictures of Pierre, both of us, some with y’all, and more of just me. That would make an awesome display! For our first one though, I really like the photograph that we chose.”
Me: “It is one of my all-time favorite shots of you. The light is falling just right and your eyes are so expressive. Having it in sepia gives it even more feeling. Once we decided on the shot, we used the Easy Canvas Prints order form to see how it would look. Daddy had already made your picture sepia when we used it for Ruckus the Eskie’s Sepia Saturday blog hop. If he hadn’t, the skilled employees at Easy Canvas would have been able to do that for us. They do everything from removing red-eye to major retouching like teeth whitening and skin smoothing. They explain it all on their FAQ page.”
Bentley: “That means that anyone can have a terrific canvas print from their photo whether it is a perfect shot or not. It says on the site they can restore torn, faded, or stained pictures, too. They could even make the pictures that you take look good!” *shameless snicker*
Me: ‘My pictures are just fine, thank you very much. I’m simply more of a snap-shooter. I could have uploaded a photo from my phone, Facebook, or Instagram accounts. Easy Canvas will tell you if it isn’t a good shot. They even have a cool graphic on their site with a 7’ couch that shows you a comparison to how large your canvas print will look.”
Bentley: “After we had the photograph on their site, we chose the border style. There is a choice of a continuation of our photo, mirror image, or a solid color. We picked the black side border. Mom doesn’t want to have them frame it, because she likes the look of just the semi-gloss canvas print. The black definitely looks great. I think that is a matter of the photo subject and personal taste. Speaking of taste, can we eat after we finish. Art must make me hungry.”
Me: “I think breathing makes you hungry, but we can probably rustle up a snack later. Let’s tell our readers how quickly our order arrived. The normal turnaround time is 10 to 12 business days. You can request faster delivery for an additional charge. We ordered our print on Monday and it arrived at our door that very Friday. It may have helped that no additional work on the photograph was necessary. I was so anxious to get mine that I squealed when it arrived. It was packed in plastic and secured to the sturdy box with heavy-duty strapping to ensure that it was delivered safely. Our canvas arrived in mint condition. It was obvious the care that was used with the printing. Easy Canvas uses in-house stretched canvas over a sturdy frame, so our print will last for years.”
Bentley: “I love it and it's easy to keep looking great. The canvas is really durable and resists most
scratches, smudges, and fingerprints. My nose prints didn’t even show after I examined it. You can dust it with a soft, dry cloth. If it ever needs deeper cleaning, you may try a damp cloth. Of course, once we hang it in a prime location, I will stand guard by it. All priceless pieces of artwork have guards.”
Me: “Did you know that if someone orders through Easy Canvas Prints’ “Canvas for a Cause,” a percentage of the retail value will be donated to a non-profit partner of your choice. Some of the organizations they support are the American Fallen Soldiers Project, Susan G. Komen, the Austin Humane Society, the Humane Society of Williamson County, and Pets for Vets. It’s a wonderful way to help while still getting the great canvas print of your choice.”
Bentley: “That’s really sweet of them. I noticed they also have a 25% off sale going on right now. All of the prices and design options are listed here. A canvas print would make a terrific gift for graduates, newlyweds, anniversaries, and birthdays. I can think of many of our family members that would love a canvas print for their home. We could make it an Easy Canvas Christmas this year. I’m thinking everyone would like a nice 11 x 14 of yours truly.”
Me: “I’m sure they would, baby. Maybe we could send them one of their pet or maybe even their human kids. There are as many choices as there are photos! It’d be a treasured gift. I couldn’t be happier with ours, it is incredibly awesome.”
Bentley: “Of course, it’s me!”
It’s Tuesday, so we are joining our pals Dogs N’ Pawz and Talking Dogs for Tuesday’s Tails blog hop. That means it’s our day to share some wonderful dogs. Their only fault is they are homeless. I am going to share some of the sweeties that have been featured before. They are still waiting at PetSavers for a loving home. Please remember that sharing is caring.
