Blogville or Bust

“Can you tell me how to get to Blogville?”  I asked that question of my new friends, Murphy & Stanley from the hilariously cute blog Murphy’s Law - Stanley Rules.  I have been in search of this mythical land for the last few months.  I finally decided it was Blogville or Bust!  You see, like most pet lovers, I follow many, many blogs.  I’ve seen some incredibly cool posts that all refer to Blogville.  For a while, I thought it was just what they called the world of blogging.  Then, I saw a day full of pirate-inspired posts.  That was my breaking point.  Everyone was having too much fun without me.  I had to ask someone, even if I was the only blogger on earth that didn’t know what and where Blogville was.  Murphy and Stanley seemed to be “in the know,” so I asked if they could help me.  They were happy to lend a paw, explaining that it is a fantastic group of bloggers that help, support, and have fun together.  Since then, I have visited more residents of Blogville.  It is a diverse and caring group that I am happy to say has made us feel welcome.  Being new to the neighborhood, I thought it would be a good idea to officially introduce Bentley, Pierre, and myself.  Lucky for me, Murphy & Stanley’s mom wanted to host a blog hop to find out how many bloggers are living in Blogville.  Add us to the count because, we are the new blog in town.

Every day is a party with these two!

Me: I’m the one that does the typing, decides on our topics, and caters to my assistants.  My husband does our photography.  We have both served our time out in the real working world, so we get to hang out, play with the boys, and have fun.  I am currently writing my third book in The Returns series.  You can find out more about these funny canine adventures here.  I have made many friends and mentors as a member of the BlogPaws community.  Barking from the Bayou debuted December 13, 2013.  Writing is my passion and I am having a fantastic time dog blogging.  I’d like to invite my new Blogville neighbors to follow my blog and my social media.

Bentley: Hey Blogville!  My name is Bentley and I am a six-year old Basset Hound.  I try to be

"I have a #7 on my hip, but I'm #1 around here!"

modest, but the truth is that I’m the reason that my mom started writing her books and her blog.  I like to remind her of this fact on a daily basis as a way to keep her wrapped around my paw.  I am easy to distinguish from my mom and Pierre, because I have very long ears, a number seven on my hip, more wrinkles than Mom or Pierre, and whenever I talk, it comes out brown.  My hobbies include sleeping, eating, begging food from my parents, napping, getting belly rubs, and stealing others place on the couch.  I also keep Pierre in line with an occasional smack down, but he cheats and pulls my ears.  That is not cool, so I have to pin him until he says, “Uncle Bentley is the greatest!”  I’m also an entrepreneur with my own pet supply store, Bentley’s Bargains.  It is located at the bottom of each post.

"I enjoy being spoiled!"

Pierre: Hello, I’m Pierre and I live here with my Gramma, Papaw, and Uncle Bentley.  I’m moving to live with my mom and dad this fall, but until then I am enjoying being spoiled.  I am a fluffy West Highland Terrier and compared to Bentley, I am hyperactive.  To be honest, compared to Bentley, a rock is hyperactive!  *snicker ~ ouch!  Gramma, Bentley is making faces at me!  I like to chase squirrels, lizards, or anything that moves, and digging in the dirt for moles.  When I help write the reviews on Gramma’s blog, my voice is purple.  Bentley is my best friend, even if I tattle on him sometimes.  We have fun playing chase, wrestling, and barking at pretty much anything.

"We are best buddies!"

Don’t want to miss being a part of the Pet Parade this week.  I co-host with my friends Rascal and RoccoBasil the Bionic Cat,Jan’s Funny Farm, and Love is being owned by aHusky.  We don’t have any rules, just fun!
