Hot Air Balloon Ride Over Blogville

Bentley: “After a fun week of learning how to stay safe, today is the big Blogville Picnic.  I will have my nose to ground on the latest happenings and will give you live reports.  As you may have noticed, Pierre is in a huge Hot Air Balloon behind me.”
Pierre: “Hello everyone!  I’ll be your balloon pilot as we drift over our lovely Blogville.  Don’t worry; I’ve watched the Wizard of Oz about 87 gazillion times.  I know what I’m doing.”
Bentley: “According to Casey and Cinderella the weather for today is perfect.  Our guests should be able to see for miles.  Hey, it’s Police Commish Sarge and Top Cop Bites!  They have been super hosts for Safety Week.  Sarge…Bites…y’all come on over here.  The inaugural ride is all yours.  Pierre, we have our first guinea pigs customers.”
We take you on a scenic trip over Blogville.  Sorry, no squirrels.
Pierre: “Yes, climb right on inside the basket.  Watch out for the tanks.  You don’t want to stub your paw.  Ahem, welcome to Bentley and Pierre’s Hot Air Balloon tour.  To insure a safe flight, I ask that you keep your paws inside the basket.  This is the burner unit, so be aware of your tails wagging too close.  Okay, let’s lift-off.  Woo Hoo!  Sarge, check it out, everyone looks like ants down there!”
Bentley: “Psst, Pierre!  Those ARE ants, I haven’t untied you yet.  All right, up, up, and away!  We have lift-off.  While they are soaring with the birds, everyone help yourselves to some frozen paws.  For you dogs, we have Gravy Paws made with Caru
Please help yourself to a cold treat while you wait.
Gravy.  Mayor Madi, why don’t you try one of those Tuna~sicles.  From that purring, I’d say she likes it.  The crowd is really growing for our picnic.  I see Reilly and Denny have met up with Lassie and Benji.  It looks like they are taking a cruise in one of Sidebite’s fancy cars!  You kid’s stay out of trouble!  It looks like a long line at Mona and Prissy’s Kissing Booth.  I hope Mona has some lip balm, I think that one fellow has been in line six or seven times!  I don’t think it’s for the free pupsicles either!  Pierre looks to have reached a good cruising altitude.  Let’s see what’s going on in the sky.  Pierre, do you have your microphone working?  Over and out.”
Up, up, and away in our beautiful balloon.
Pierre: “Roger that, Bentley.  We just passed over the area where DJ Rockin’ Wills is setting up for his music set.  I am pointing out some of Blogville’s landmarks, so feel free to listen.  Bites, isn’t that the mayor’s home?  Look down to the left and you can see the Idaho Pug’s Ranch.  That must be where Detective Wallace and FireChief Sammy live.  I see them shining the fire truck for the picnic.  Holler down at them, they’ll hear us.  Sammy!  You missed a spot!  *Hee, hee  Check it out…Millie and Walter in their yard running zoomies!  Hey Millie, watch out for the tree!!  You can see Frank and Ernie’s place on the shores.  Their ships are the finest vessels on the seas.  They are having a Bounce House today.  I am going to jump!  Relax Sarge; I’m not jumping now!  *chuckle  Let me get back to guiding this balloon.  We are approaching the lovely brick home of The Three Little Pugs.  They are safe from the Big Bad Wolf.  What’s that Bites?  Pigs?  Oh, never mind.  Back to you on the street Bentley.”
Bentley: “We are pleased to see some of our friends in line.  Lee and Phod don’t mind
Ruby, Frankie, Roxie and Ernie were mesmerized by the view.
waiting.  Phod has started dancing to Rockin’ Wills.  Our local zombie chasers Finley and Whitley Westie are dressed in very festive picnic wear.  You can always count on those gals having the best hats!  It looks like they’ve visited our mixologist, Ruby the Airedale.  Take it easy on those margaritas!  Cocco has been hanging pretty close to Sasha’s awesome Possum Pizza Truck and Ruby’s Libations.  Remember, the camera adds ten pounds Cocco you little pig!  Aww, I’m not being ugly to him.  He IS a mini-pig and he was on Animal Planet last week.  The Five Sibes just crawled out of the Bounce House.  They had a very touching video on their Fire Safety post.  Harley, y’all come ride in our balloon.  Ground Patrol to Pierre, where are y'all now?”
Pierre: “We are getting a fantastic view of Blogville!  I descended to point out some of our friends’ homes.  Could you see Ranger’s place when you flew the HoundDog 7 Rocket Pack over town?  The Chief of Police has a really nice place.  I showed them where Lily and Edward live, we saw Fudge’s place, and you can’t miss Frank the Tank’s spread.  Have you seen the wacky traffic signs he has on his road?  I thought I was going to have to hold Sarge up, he was laughing so hard.  We have reached maximum altitude.  I’ll be landing to pick up the new group of riders, as soon as I figure out how to land this thing!  *Snicker  Bentley, you should see Sarge and SideBite’s faces!  *Accidentally snorts  That’s just a little Hot Air Balloon Pilot humor.  I am personal friends with a certain Great and Powerful Oz…the Terrier.  Seriously, y’all are in good paws.  Hey Bentley, have you seen Dory?  I promised her, Reilly and Denny that we would listen to Bad Dawg Agency.”
Would you like to ride in our beautiful balloon?
Bentley: “They came by a few minutes ago; I think I saw them heading over to Ruby’s.  Your passengers will be happy to know that Dr. Lassie and EMT/ambulance driver, Benji are here.  They are talking first aid with Goose and Bert is telling them about a search going on in a nearby town.  I can’t really hear, but it sounds like some kittens had their mittens stolen.  It looks like Easy and Bunk are ready for a ride in the balloon.  We have a long line of cats and dogs.  We should be able to fit six to eight in each tour, depending on their size.  I see Murphy and Stanley are still out campaigning.  I don’t think there is a puppy or kitten that those two brothers haven’t kissed.  I’ve seen a lot of the girls taking selfies with them.  Since they are in Bad Dawg Agency, so you have some of time before they go on stage.  Tell Sarge that some of his Surf Jammers band members have come by to check on him.  Oh wait, I see y’all!”
Pierre: “Ten-four good buddy!  We just sailed over Blogville Elementary and should be landing in Blogville town square in about three minutes.  Clear my spot, I am right on target.  Sarge, Bites, I am glad that you were my first passengers.  You both did a wonderful job on Safety Week.  Okay, hang on we are touching down.  Thanks for flying Bentley & Pierre’s Hot Air Balloon.  Y’all have a great day!”
Bentley: “Wow!  You landed that perfectly.  Daisy wants you to stop by her sandbox when you
take a break.  You can drop by there on your way to hear the concert with your friends. Duncan came by too.  For now though, let’s get these thrill-seekers airborne.  Next!”

    1. It is always a good idea to bring your own parachute. Of course, safety regulations require that we have one in the basket of every rider. We really enjoyed listen to you and your band. The bagpipes just don't get the respect they deserve.
