Bentley: “Yes, it means I get to smell turkey roasting, dressing baking, pumpkin pies browning, and we get to go belly-up to watch football.”
Pierre: “It means that I get to stand under your feet in the event something hits the floor.”
Me: “I have to agree that it does mean all of those things, but it also means that we need to take time to give thanks for all of our blessings. I thought we could pause to give thanks for some of the many things we are thankful for this year.
Bentley: “Well, you and Dad are on the top of my list. Here, we can handle this by ourselves. Why don’t you go start the baked spaghetti and cheese? We can give paws for thanks.”
Bentley: “Mom, this list could go on forever. Let’s just say that we are thankful for much more than we can list. Except add pumpkin. I am thankful for pumpkins…and laughter…and love.”
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. We hope that everyone takes time to give thanks for all of the blessings in your life. We are thankful for each of you.
