BFTB Channel 7 NETWoof News

Bentley: “Happy President’s Day.  We welcome y’all to another edition of BFTB Channel 7 NETWoof News.  We are happy to share all of the news that we nose.  I’m here with my co-anchor Pierre and our lovely Weather Lab, Paisley.  How is the world treating you two?”
Paisley: “Everything is just the bestest with me.  I had a fun-filled Valentine’s Day.  The weather was beautiful, but it is about to change.  I’ll tell you about it in my forecast.”
Pierre: “That’ll be great.  You know that here in the bayou the weather could change before we are through with our broadcast!  Our top story today is about a new study of dogs.  It’s really one of those studies, where if they’d just asked pet parents they could have saved themselves time and money.  What was the major discovery this time?  We can tell when our humans are happy or angry from their expressions.  This news makes me say, duh.  Of course, we can tell if you’re mad or happy.”
Bentley: “Just for the record, we also know when you are fake crying to see if we will react.  I mean, seriously people!  We know everything about you.  This next story proves my previous statement.  Sissy, a miniature Schnauzer walked 20 blocks to the hospital where her human was recovering from cancer surgery.  When security at the Cedar Rapids hospital saw the little dog come through the door, they knew something was afoot.  Knowing how important the love between a dog and human can be, they allowed her to go visit her mom’s room.”
Paisley: “Oohh!  Guess what I heard!  Some of the pups at Blogville’s Heart 2 Heart dance daycare said that Miss Mayoress Madi drank some Geritol shots and got on the dance floor to twerk!  I heard there are videos!”
Pierre: “Now Paisley, we cannot show the regal Miss Madi twerking.  This is a G-rated news show.  Still, it was incredible.  She certainly sent a lot of tongues and tails wagging!  Speaking of wagging tails, dog lovers all over the world are preparing for the excitement of the Westminster Dog Show in New York City.  You know how I hate to be a name-dropper, but Dexter from Fidose of Reality is in the Big Apple for a Pug wedding.  His mom, Carol Bryant will be live blogging from Madison Square Garden for the 139th Annual Westminster.  You can get insider info, scoop, backstage pass, and exclusive photos from the “garden green.”  Don’t miss any of the action.  Visit Fidose of Reality today, Monday, February 16 from 8 to 11 pm EST.

Bentley: “ Tex the Border Collie beat 330 other dogs to take the Westminster Agility title.  I’m hoping the Basset makes a great showing this year.  I’d be willing to show, but they have a “thing” about the dogs being able to multiply.
Paisley: “Wow!  I didn’t realize there were math questions at a dog show.  That would freeze me out, because I’m not old enough to know my multiplication facts.  Speaking of freezing, our friends in the New England area are expecting sub-zero temperatures.  There could be another two feet of snow dumped on Boston.  The Pacific Northwest will be feeling temps in the 20’s.  Here along the bayou, it has been in the upper 70’s, but we could be plummeting into the 30’s.  I have to mention the possibility of winter precipitation for us.  Realistically, it is so not happening.”

Bentley: “I won’t dig out my snow shoes anytime soon.  This was another great forecast, Paisley.  If you keep up this level of accuracy, we will be sending you out on location!  Before we sign off, let’s remember that February is National Pet Dental Health month.  It is important that you allow your humans to brush your teeth.  Insist on a good dental chew for a between meal snack.  Let’s work together to take a bite out of dog dental disease.  Have a fun-tastic week and be sure to grab yourself some happy!”

  6. The story of Sissy the miniature Schnauzer walking 20 blocks to the hospital to see her recovering human was so touching. Today is Family Day in Canada, that's the perfect story to prove how much dogs love us and are apart of the family.

    Great post MK :)
