The big day is finally here! Bentley and Pierre have dates with the My GBGV Life girls, Emma and Bailie. Where are they going? The Heart ~ 2 ~ Heart Valentine’s Day Dance at the Blogville Regency. Mayors Murphy and Stanley are hosting this romantic gala and all of Blogville is expected to attend. I’m going to turn this post over to the boys. *Warning: They are known to exaggerate/embellish some aspects of their stories. For entertainment purposes only. ☺
Bentley: “Hey Pierre! Stop primping and let’s hit the road. We have to stop by and pick up Paisley before we get the girls. I’m sure my human brother will have a ton of rules for me. Especially, when he sees me pull up in my new sweet ride.”
Pierre: “Are you telling me that you haven’t told him about the new car? He is going to freak! You may as well be picking up his baby girl on a motorcycle! Bahaha!”
Bentley: “Look, I told him that I was seeing a guy about a Vette. It’s not my fault if he assumed I was talking about my doctor. Besides, I am a safe driver. Now, hang on because this baby can smoke!
|They had to pose for the mandatory "parent" pictures.|
The boys were able to pick up Paisley the Weather Lab with only a quick ten-minute safety lecture. They stopped to pick up flowers for the girls and arrived at their home just as Emma was coming down the stairs. She was so beautiful that Bentley had to look away so he wouldn’t stare. After Emma’s mom gave her instructions, the group headed toward the elegant Blogville Regency.
They could hear the jammin’ sounds of DJ Rockin’ Wills as they stopped by the Youth Room. Arty met them and took Paisley by the paw. The first pup that she met was Mabel from the Idaho Pug Ranch. The two little girls hit it off immediately and bounded off to play. Bentley thanked Arty and blew Paisley a kiss.
Emma and Bentley went to mingle and pick up a couple of drinks from Ruby. They didn’t realize how thirsty everyone would be until they saw the line at the Margarita truck. Emma waited in line while Bentley grabbed a couple of squirrel pizza slices from Chef Sasha. They’d eat at the banquet later, but a slice of Sasha’s pizza is too hard to resist.
Pierre and Bailie decided to go to Easy for his dance lessons. They both loved to dance and since nobody was on the dance floor yet, they thought they could get their groove on a little early. They stopped to talk with Whitley and Finley about what some of the guests were wearing. If there is one thing for sure, the residents of Blogville will dress for any formal occasion.
|Thankfully, Pierre remembered his vertical enhancer box for the photo.|
Bentley: “Although we are here for a great time, we are also on the job. Great reporters are always looking for a news story. We have it from a reliable source that someone is planning something big during the dance that will have everyone talking. As a rule, we are hard-hitting news guys, but we enjoy a good scandal as well as the next dog.”
Emma knew that Bentley was looking for a story, so she whispered something in his ear. He snickered and led her off the dance floor. They went out to his car and grabbed two bags before disappearing into the bathrooms. When they emerged, they took the dance floor over and made it their own. If anyone was on their best behavior out of fear they’d end up on the news, this sassy dance eased their minds.
Could Emma & Bentley be future dance stars?
After their dance, they were seen snuggling out on the terrace. From there, Bentley saw that his tip was true! Emma began snapping pictures with her cell phone. Be sure to stop back Monday for the latest news from the Heart ~ 2 ~ Heart Dance on BFTB NETWoof News. This is something that Blogville will be howling about for quite some time. The entire night lived up to the hype for sure.
Pierre and Bailie spent most of the evening laughing. By the time they picked up Paisley and headed home, the moon was high in the night sky. They knew that Paisley had a fun-tastic time with the other young ones, because she was snoozing before they hit the highway! There was even a goodnight kiss between Bentley and his sweetie Emma. Being a southern gentleman, he won’t elaborate. It was a wonderful Valentine’s Day in Blogville.
You can visit all of the happenings and fun by visiting the hosts, Mayors Murphy and Stanley. There are many more things going on than, we mentioned in our story.
From all of us here at Barking from the Bayou, we wish you lots of doggie kisses and cat cuddles. Happy Valentine’s Day!
