Dr. Harvey's in the House

Basset and Westie exploring cardboard box
"Look at these goodies from Dr. Harvey's!"
Bentley: “A few weeks ago, a big box was delivered to our front door.  As chief taste tester here on the Bayou, I hurried behind Mom to see what we had.  It took her forever and a day to open the box, but when she did…”
Pierre: “I hear you, Bentley.  It was obvious from the smells that this was no ordinary box of goodies.  The scent was drool-worthy.  On closer inspection, we discovered the box was from Dr. Harvey’s Fine Health Food.  You might remember our rave review of their Barkotti and the Coconut Smiles.  Is it wrong to fall in love with a box?”
Bentley: “With the box?  Yes, that is weird.  If you have fallen in love with all of the great things that were in the box, that’s a different story.  Take these new Sweet Potate’r Chews.  No, don’t really take them.  That’s just a sayin’.  Seriously, bring them back!”

Pierre: “Oh my gracious!  Have you tasted these?  Guess what’s in them.  Never mind, I’ll tell you.

It is 100% sweet potato.  Dr. Harvey never adds preservatives, dyes, or chemicals.  Sweet Potatoe’r Chews do keep the skins for extra vitamins and minerals.  They are dehydrated, but aren’t hard like many that we have tried.  Of course, the sweet potatoes are grown right here in the good ol’ U.S. of A.”
Bentley: “They smell so good and have just that perfect texture.  We aren’t allowed to have rawhide chews, so these are a safe and delicious alternative.  Sweet Potatoe’rs are available in slices or fries.  They are reasonably priced at $9.95 for a 7 oz. bag and $19.95 for a 16 oz. bag.  That is a lot of sweet potato goodness, my friends.”
Pierre: “Indeed, it is.  Let’s talk about this tripe.  Until our box arrived, I always thought of tripe as rubbish or nonsense.  Boy, was I ever wrong!  It may not sound delicious to y’all, but trust me.  It is INCREDIBLE and it is in Dr. Harvey’s Power Patties, the holistic dog treats that dogs love.  They are a mighty treat for the elite.”
Dr. Harvey's Power Patties Tripe

Bentley: “Tripe is the highly tasty and easily digested stomach lining and stomach contents of cattle.  It contains partially digested grasses and grains, digestive enzymes, gastric juices, amino acids, Omegas 3 and 6, along with an exceptional balance of calcium to phosphorus.  Many top breeders know it as the best all natural dog and cat food available.  It is considered by many experts to be one of the most complete foods for us carnivores.”
Pierre: “Pets in Europe enjoy great health on diets of tripe.  One Power Pattie can last an entire training session.  Gramma breaks it into tiny pieces and we will turn circles for each bite.  I like that they don’t upset my rather delicate tummy.  You have probably noticed my beautiful shiny hair too.  Thank you Power Patties!”
Bentley: “I will warn you that these tasty treats do have a rather strong smell.  Seriously, what’s a little scent among friends?  What is important are the benefits of tripe and the taste.  They have added vitamins and minerals.  They also add beneficial digestive enzymes, and good usable protein consisting balanced amino acids.  The bag does come with a warning.  Dr. Harvey’s is not responsible for stolen or captured Power Patties.  They recommend hiding these treats in a carefully selected concealed place.  You’ve been warned!  Now, how did my bag disappear?  Pierre!”
Pierre: “You have to follow me if you want some!  Speaking of following, be sure to follow our friend Dr. Harvey’s on Twitter, FaceBook, Instagram, and YouTube.  Tell them the Barking from the Bayou boys sent you!  They know us!”
*We were sent a box of Dr. Harvey's products to try.  We were not asked to post a review.  Barking from the Bayou chose to review Dr. Harvey's products, because we love them and wanted to share that love with our readers.

  8. Dear Bentley,
I want to come live at your house! My mom only gets brushes and stuff from vendors, nothing yummy! Can I move in soon? I am feeling all better since I am eating Nude Food from I and Love and You, so I can hop a plane if I can slip away from mom!
