Pose-A-Pet #Rescuerevolution

We’ve all been there before.  You are trying to get a great photo of your dog or cat and they look everywhere except at you.  If it is difficult to get your pets to look, imagine the trouble of getting a frightened rescue dog’s attention.  Until now, we had to resort to a plethora of gimmicks.  I can’t tell you some of the bizarre things we have done to get Bentley to look at my phone or camera.
Thankfully, those difficult shots are behind us.  We have discovered The Pose-A-Pet™ smartphone app.  It will not only help me take great shots of Bentley and Pierre, but I can also snap photos of the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana (HSNWLA) pups like this one of Stella.  Let me tell you more about this cool app.
The Pose-A-Pet app was created to help you take great pictures of your pets by using the same sounds that a professional photographer uses to capture a pet’s attention.  The creators of Pose-A-Pet are involved in animal rescue.  The initial app is free to download and comes with a limited number of sounds.  This app will help make it easier for a rescue animal shelter to get their pet photos in front of literally millions of potential forever families. The best thing about this pet photography app is how easy it is to use.
1.   Download the Pose-A-Pet app.
2.   Push one of the wacky sounds as you focus on the pet.
3.   Click the button in the center of the sounds and take a great picture. *My iPhone doesn’t show the middle button, but it takes a photo when I push the center space.
4.   Click share and “Create Rescue Flyer” *You can also share directly to Twitter or Facebook.
5.   Fill in the information about the adoptable dog or cat.
6.   Share and wait for the pet adoptions to begin!

It was so exciting to see Bentley and Pierre actually look at the phone as I took some great photos of them.  My next stop was to see the awesome volunteers at the HSNWLA.  They were thrilled to discover the many sounds and uses for the app.  It was even more fun to tell them they are part of a fantastic rescue fundraiser!  You see, Pose-A-Pet also has a premiere package with 20 sounds and the ability to save your flyers/photos to your Smartphone photos for easy printing or virtually sharing.  The price is only $2.99 and from now until April 26th, the HSNWLA will receive 50% of every premiere package sold!  The donation possibilities are incredible with your help.
Here is another super cool aspect of this app.  The founders have a sister site, Rescuerevolution.com.  It is a “Virtual Animal Rescue” that businesses can add to their website to help the over 30,000 shelters spread the word and photos of adoptable pets.
Their employees can become involved by choosing homeless pets to become a “Virtual Foster” by sharing their foster dog or cat with their social media networks.
I hope that you will download the Pose-A-Pet app and begin taking better pictures of your pets today.  Please consider making the $2.99 investment in the premiere edition.  It is a great way to get more sounds and know that you are helping the HSNWLA financially.
I’d like to personally thank my blogging friends Rachel from My Kid Has Paws and Lisa of Dogs ‘n Pawz for allowing me to be one of the lucky blogs to share The Pose-A-Pet app with my readers and to help our my favorite rescue.

Take a moment to visit the Pose-A-Pet website to learn about more opportunities to help a shelter in your area.  They will be featuring HSNWLA on their Facebook page and sharing our adoptable pets on Twitter.

  16. Before we purchased the premium version of PoseAPet, Amelia would make funny sounds to try to get me to pose for a picture. Frankly, I was on to her and bored with her attempts. Then I heard some really different sounds and I kept tweaking my head. The really cool part is that now Amelia has now captured some of my best expressions on her smart phone! Not only that, we can now help other pets find forever homes with their glamour shots thanks to PoseAPet and the Rescue revolution...~Schatzi

  17. I love my pose a pet app. Thanks for spreading the word!

I'd love to hear from you! Bark back!
