BFTB NETWoof News 6-1-2015

Basset Hound, West Highland Terrier, Chocolate Lab delivering the news
Bentley: “Welcome to this week’s segment of BFTB NETWoof News.  I am your newshound Bentley Basset.  Pierre Westie is joining me as co-anchor and we also have our lovely Weather Lab, Paisley.  As many of you know, Pierre and I were roving reporters last week as we traveled to Nashville, Tennessee.  I have many tales to tell and things that we learned. We will share these over the span of the next few weeks.”
Pierre: “That’s right, Bentley.  It was our first road trip and we have concluded that it was a blast!  You know how I hate to blow my own horn, but our top story is how dashing I look in a tuxedo.”

Bentley: “That is not the top story!  The top story is how exciting it was to strut down the Red Carpet along with so many other dogs, cats, rats, ferrets, and pot-bellied pigs!  We decided it would be best for Mom and Dad to attend the actual banquet while we went to play with our buds in the daycare.  We will tell you more about all of this later.”
Pierre: “Let me share the news about Ammo.  He was a guest of honor. He is now wearing a bullet proof vest while working as a K9 for the Tennessee County Sheriff’s office.  He was a great looking dog and we are so thankful to BlogPaws for helping to keep him safe.  The streets are tough on a working dog.  Congratulations, Ammo!”
Bentley: “We do have an interesting story from MIT this week.  Researchers at the university developed a robotic cheetah in 2014.  It is used to help understand the movements of four-legged animals.  It will hopefully lead to better prosthetics.  They recently made history when the cheetah became the first quadruped robot to see and jump over obstacles.”
Pierre: “That is pretty cool.  Speaking of cool, how is our Weather Lab doing this week?”
Paisley: “Hey guys!  Y’all are going to be tail-wagging happy to hear my report.  Here in the south and that includes Texas, we are going to have sunshine and a week without rain!  That is extremely important to the Lone Star state.  They have had enough rain to cover the entire state with 8” of water.  Is that wacky or what?!  Hopefully, this week of sunny weather will help alleviate some of their problems.  The west coast will be hot as expected.  All of our rain is moving to the east coast and will spread in the portions of the northern states.  How was that for a happy weather report?  Umm, Bentley…Pierre?”
Bentley: “What, huh?  I have to apologize, Paisley.  I believe that I may have nodded for a moment.  It’s just been such a busy week.  According to my calculations I am 93.5 hours behind on proper napping.  Thanks to everyone for joining us today.  Things have slowed down some since we are back from conference so we can stop by and visit with y’all!  As for all of us at BFTB News, we have some serious sleeping to catch up with now. Be sure to sign-up so we can be delivered straight to your email because you do not want to miss a single day of this week’s posts.  Until then, take care of yourself and grab yourself some happy this week.”
