A Day at the Weiner Dog Races

Bentley: "Welcome to a BFTB NETWoof Special Sports Broadcast. We mentioned on our regular broadcast that we would be attending the Weiner Dog Races at Louisiana Downs to celebrate Labor Day. It was a doggone great time."

Pierre: "There were four races with eight Weiners in each race. They were grouped by Weiner weight. The smallest Weiner, Abby weighing in at 9 pounds in the first race. The fourth race had the big Weiner Henry running at 17.5 pounds of pure speed."

Paisley: "They even had a tiny little starting gate!"

Pierre: "Number 5 was using his ears to fly down the track. Those Weiner wings got him some serious air!"

Paisley: "This is Teensy. Isn't she pretty? She ran in the final race of the day."

Bentley: "As you can see, number 5 was feeling pretty confident of his win."

Pierre: "The odds and the money wagered on each Weiner were displayed on the tote board. The money raised went to Ninna's Road to Rescue

Paisley: "My dad won the first race! The prize was a Weiner Dog Race tee-shirt. That was a good win because I heard that a lot of people lose their shirts at the racetrack!"
