BFTB NETWoof News 11-2-2015 #DogNews

Bentley: “Hello and welcome to BFTB NETWoof News for the first Monday in November. I’m Bentley, your News Hound Extraordinaire. Joining me at the anchor desk are Pierre Westie and our Weather Lab, Paisley. Before we get to our top story, we want to thank everyone who participated in our annual Halloween Spooktacular. It was a big success with 30+ participants. Don’t miss the announcement of our winning blogger on Tuesday’s post. Over to you, Pierre.”
BFTB NETWoof Dog News anchor desk

Pierre: “Thanks! Our top story is about some real Fat Cats. Now before you think we are body shaming, let me explain. This report is about the wealthiest cats around. In the #3 position is Tinker who inherited an $800,000 home and has a trust fund worth several hundred thousand dollars. It should come as no surprise that Tardar Sauce a.k.a. Grumpy Cat is in the #2 spot. His wealth has been estimated at anywhere from $42,400 to several million bucks. Either way, that is a lot of catnip! So who is the richest cat that we know about? His name is Tommasino and he inherited between 13 and 15 million dollars when his owner passed away. He now has a personal nurse to care for his every need. I wonder if good old Tom needs a Westie to call his best bud.”
Bentley: “I’m sure Tommasino has all of the friends that he could ever want. Besides, I’m sure that we will inherit our vast BFTB Empire. It has to be worth millions. Excuse, Mom just slipped me a note. Oh, never mind. Apparently there is no BFTB Empire money. I hate it when that happens. Maybe I can buddy up to George and Amal Clooney’s new Basset Hound, Millie. She is very cute and joins their two rescued Cocker Spaniels. Fidose of Reality’s Dexter and I have offered to go on a playdate with them.”
Pierre: “Those are some lucky dogs! Speaking of lucky, do you remember those two dogs that were photographed hugging one another in a shelter? They had been rescued from Death Row and the picture of them consoling one another went viral. I am pleased to report that they were adopted together and seem ridiculously happy in their new home.”
Bentley: “Aww, that is terrific. Did you watch the Hallmark channel’s American Humane Society’s Hero Dog Awards on Friday? It is always a tear-jerker but a must-watch in our home. This year’s winner was Harley, a Chihuahua whose story is as wonderful as it is tragic. The 6-pound, 14 ½-year-old dog was first voted the Emerging Hero Dog. He came from a puppy mill where life was horrific. Now, he and his adopted humans share the terrible truth about puppy mills. Their efforts have raised more than half a million dollars and led to the rescue of more than 500 million dogs! Harley is definitely a hero in our eyes!”
Basset modeling Peanuts trucker's hat
Paisley: “Do you mind if I cut in and give our congratulations to one of the coolest dogs ever? Snoopy from the Peanuts gang is receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today! It is just in time for their new 3D movie premiere. Remember that our readers can enter for a chance to win their own Peanuts trucker hat. All they have to do is click here for the Rafflecopter entry form.”
Pierre: “Way to go Snoopy! Turning to sports, this week has seen many champion performances. In an incredible show of speed, American Pharoah won the Breeder’s Cup by an impressive 6 ½ lengths. At 3-years-old, it was the last race of his career. This is one horse that people will be talking about for many years to come.
BFTB NETWoof Dog Sports with GBGV dog
Bentley: “I want to give a shout-out to my sweetie, Emma from My GBGV Life. As you recall, her sister Bailie titled in her nose work last weekend. Well, this time it was Emma’s turn to shine and that is exactly what she did. On Saturday, she got her NACSW L1C Title (National Association of Canine Search Work). She had four container searches and found them all! Then, on Sunday my Golden-Nosed Girl received her Nose Work 2 Title!”
Paisley: “Excuse me, boys! I want to be sure and congratulate the Liver Killers Dock Diving Team from Cello's Corner. That includes the dreamy Hooch along with Cello and Lager. All three have qualified for the World Champion Dock Diving competition next week. We know that they are going to be amazing! Now, am I ever going to get to report the weather?”
Pierre: “Of course, you know that we always save the best for last. What can we expect this week as we head outside?”
BFTB NETWoof Weather Forecast
Paisley: “Well, if you live anywhere in the south, you are going to need an umbrella or in the case of some areas, an umbrella, and a boat. That’s because from Texas to Florida it is going to be raining. The north and the northwest can expect some showers too. Out in California, it will be sunny but breezy. The middle of the country can count on some cooler temperatures. The east coast will be cloudy, but the temperatures will be a little bit warmer. Oh and if you didn’t set your clocks back one hour in the U.S. on Sunday morning, you are going to be really early for work. That is unless you live in Arizona because they don’t have daylight saving time. I’m going to have to get used to it being dark at 5:30 each day.”
BFTB NETWoof News honors Tillman the skateboarding dog
Bentley: “Thanks for another terrific forecast, Paisley. Before we leave, we’d like to express our sincere condolences to Ron Davis. He was the best friend to Tillman the Skateboarding Bulldog. Ten-year-old Tillman passed away from a heart condition on the way to the vet last week. In his short life, the skateboarding phenom was a Guinness World Record holder, a representative for Natural Balance pet food, and internet sensation. He was always happy to show off his mad skills on the skateboard, surfboard, and snowboard. We were lucky enough to meet Tillman and his human at the 2014 BlogPaws® conference. He was not only a legend but an all-around great dog. He will be missed. We appreciate you visiting us today and hope that you come back each day for more exciting reviews, stories and fun. Make it a great day and be sure to grab yourself some happy.”

  8. It seems like your newscasts are going to greater investigative depths! We are afraid 60 Minutes might try and hire you all away from Blogville.
