BFTB NETWoof News November 30 2015

Bentley: “Hello, friends and welcome to BFTB NETWoof News. We fetch the best dog news around. That means you don’t have to dig it up yourself. Of course, we have our Weather Lab Paisley with the forecast so you’ll know what to expect when you head outside. What is our top story, Pierre?”
BFTB NETWoof News top story

Pierre: “It is about a study that should be of interest to Paisley. You know that she is going to be a big sister in April. Research proves that kids that are raised around dogs suffer less anxiety. That’s because we are great listeners and snugglers. Little humans need those things as much as our big ones. Besides, every child should have a pet that they can love and learn to care for by themselves. We teach empathy and are a terrific way to keep our children in shape. Otherwise, they just play video games and watch television.”
Paisley: “I am going to be the best big sister in the whole wide world. Did y’all know that we are having a little girl? We are going to be besties and I’ll let her dress me up and play tea parties. My baby girl will never know anxiety with me around!”
Bentley: “Being a best friend with a little human is a very big responsibility. You will be a winner at it no doubt. Speaking of winners, the National Dog Show was televised on Thanksgiving. For some reason, a Basset Hound didn’t win this show either. The dog that did win is a very handsome Skye Terrier by the name of Good Time Charlie! You can bet that he is one Good Time Charlie that doesn’t have the blues! He beat out 1,700 other dogs which shouldn’t come as a surprise because he already has 79 best-in-show titles. It is estimated that 20 million people tuned in on turkey day to enjoy the show!”

Pierre: “Wow! That just goes to show you how much people love a good dog show. We really should be co-anchoring with David Muir on ABC. It would be a huge ratings boost! By the way, we would like to let everyone know that we have added the Free Kibble icon back on our sidebar. Many of our readers missed having the convenience of being able to access it from our page. If you have never visited their site, it is a fun way to give food to dogs as well as food and cat litter to our feline friends. You get to answer a trivia question for each one, but the kibble is donated whether you are correct or not!”

Bentley: “Mom does it every day. It is an easy way to help shelter pets. On a rather serious note, we’d like to send best wishes to our pal, Manny the Frenchie. He was involved in an altercation with another dog on Thanksgiving. It resulted in some injuries to his neck that required staples. Luckily, his humans rushed him to the vet and they believe that he will make a full recovery. Get well soon, Manny!”
Pierre: “I know that must have been scary! How about the weather, Paisley? Is there anything scary in our forecast?”
BFTB Weather forecast for the first week of December
Paisley: “It is definitely beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in much of the U.S. The air will be cool in the northwest and northeast and cool or cold in the center of the country. You’ll see sunny skies in the north and of course, in California. We will be having some rain in the south from Texas to Florida and up the east coast. I believe the weather will be an improvement over last week as far the hazardous driving conditions. Still, y’all need to be safe out there”
Pierre: “We do have one more bit of exciting news. Our pal, Bentley is celebrating his 8th birthday on Thursday. There will be a party with lots of presents and pupcakes, cookies and ice cream. Please stop by and wish him a happy birthday.”
Bentley: “Aw shucks, Pierre. I appreciate the shout-out. We do have some fun stuff planned and we’d love it if you all joined us. Don’t miss tomorrow’s post. We visit Tractor Supply Company and make a special gift basket for our local shelter. It is going to be an exciting week and you don’t want to miss a minute of the fun. If you haven’t seen our Christmas Gift Guide video, you can take a peek at it on our sidebar too. Many of the companies are having Cyber Monday sales and you can catch some amazing savings. Have a fantastic week and don’t forget to grab yourself some happy!”
