BFTB NETWoof News April 18, 2016 #DogNews

Bentley: “I’m Bentley Basset and welcome to BFTB NETWoof News for the week of April 18, 2016. We hope that you’re doing great and look forward to fetching you some fun news. I am joined at the anchor desk by yesterday’s birthday boy, Pierre, and our Weather Lab Paisley. What’s our top story?”

Paisley: “Pick me! Pick me! BREAKING NEWS!!”
Bentley: “It appears that Paisley has our top story.”
Paisley: “Guess what! My baby sister is here and I have never been so proud. It turns out that a baby is a sweet but tiny human! Mine is just the cutest little girl in the world. I will always love her and protect her and teach her to walk and play ball. Wow! This is going to be so much fun! Right now, it is my job to watch her with my mom and dad. If she squeaks, I am right there checking on her. We are totally going to have tea parties and play dress-up one day. Sorry, to ramble but I find her so fascinating. Anyway, that is my top story!”

Pierre: “Congratulations. We can’t wait to sniff her for ourselves. After all, she is my cousin and Bentley is an official uncle! Back to other news, a chimp escaped from the Yagiyama zoo in Sendai City, Japan last Thursday. The male chimpanzee named Chacha was climbing utility poles and dancing on the power lines trying to evade his captors. He put up quite a gallant effort to maintain his freedom, but a tranquilizer gun proved to be his downfall. He has since been returned to his former living arrangements at the zoo.”

Bentley: “So Chacha the chimp is a male pole dancer? That must have been quite a sight. I hope the zoo works to make him happier in his own surroundings. He must have really wanted a change of scenery. He isn’t the only creature that made a break for freedom. Inky, an octopus at the National Aquarium in New Zealand gave employees the slip several months ago. The news is just being released but apparently, Inky squeezed out of the top of his tank, landed on the floor, traveled about 8’ to slide down a drainpipe and plop back into the Hawke’s Bay on the east coast of New Zealand’s north island. If anyone sees an octopus wearing dark shades and looking nervous, it might be Inky. Just act like you don’t see him. He deserves to spend his days in the bay.”
Pierre: “It is just like Disney’s Finding Nemo! Just keep swimming, Inky. You know that we have warned humans about honking their car horns before turning the car on if they park outside. Well, a driver in California had been on the road for about 50 miles when he learned that lesson the hard way. He began to hear a distinct noise that was not his engine purring. A firefighter was able to pull the trapped cat free from its ride inside the car’s bumper! The tabby is waiting for a forever home at the local humane society.”
BFTB NETWoof Weather with forecast map on back screen
Paisley: “I bet that was one rude awakening for the kitty. We could have our own rude awakening the first part of the week with storms along both the southern and northern states. Unfortunately, the rain could be scattered for several days while the rest of the country experiences some nice spring temperatures. The snow should be leaving Colorado and y'all are actually going to be warming up a bit! The storms will visit the west and east coasts by Friday while the center of the country will be drying out. Just a quick Hurricane 2016 forecast from Colorado State University; we are expecting an average season which means 12 named storms, 5 hurricanes and 3 that will be a category 3 or more. It is still early in the season, but it’s always a good idea to be prepared.”
Bentley: “That was a fantastic top story and a weather forecast that we can count on. Congratulations on being a big sister, Paisley. Now, we would like to take a moment to thank you, our readers, for your well-wishes last week. Mom is doing great and appreciates all of the comments and P.O.T.P.
Be sure to join us all week as we explore a new way to prevent 6 pesky and potentially harmful parasites, share Pierre’s birthday celebration, and discover a new treat sensation. There is so much happening, you really don’t want to miss a day. Are you following us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram? I sure hope so. Be sure to share our newscast with your friends and go out today determined to grab yourself some happy!”

  7. What a most gorgeous baby sis you have Paisley. You know I bet you will teach her to walk
My mom had a friend, Marnie, way back in the dark ages. The story was Marnie learned to walk hanging on to her K9 burdder who was an exceptionally large Doberman and sweet boy too.
