BFTB NETWoof New August 8, 2016 #DogNews

Bentley: “Hello and welcome to this week’s BFTB NETWoof News where we bring you the news that makes you smile. As always, I am joined at the news desk by my co-anchor Pierre Westie and our wonderful Weather Lab Paisley. What is today’s top story?”
BFTB NETWoof News with Top Story about Bears on back screen
Pierre: “It is the happily ever after story of thirteen bears that had been surrendered from deplorable conditions in roadside zoos and carnivals. They have been relocated to a Colorado sanctuary. During the transition, two females gave birth. They are now out of their holding cages and enjoying the feel of grass beneath their paws. One of the new mothers was even able to make a den for her cub. We hope they thrive in their newfound freedom.”

Bentley: “I can’t bear the thought of living in a cage. Good luck to them. You know, we could toast them with a new dog wine. It is non-alcoholic and produced by Apollo Peak, the company that introduced wine for cats earlier this summer. You can preorder “Zinfan Tail” or “CharDOGnay” for $17.95 for a 12 oz. bottle. The founder, Brandon Zavala explains that the cat wine is meant to be a mild stimulant much like catnip. The canine wine is going to do the opposite by helping a dog chill-out. What do you think, Pierre?”

Pierre: “Wait a minute. Cats have had wine all summer? I wonder if it comes in a box. That’d be a best-seller. Speaking of cats, the musical CATS is back on Broadway after a long hiatus. If you haven’t seen this show and are planning a trip to the Big Apple, it’s one that you don’t want to miss. We hear it is purr-fectly amazing.”
BFTB NETWoof Sports featuring Blogville Summer Games
Bentley: “We went easy on the news today so that we can share the excitement of Blogville’s Summer Games. If you enjoy fun photos of the pets from your favorite blogs, visit Dory’s Backyard for the schedule and host of events. I hate to brag but there are six new Gold Medals in our trophy case. Pierre and I received Gold in the swimming, fetching, and digging. We are participating in the games all week. You can see the opening parades and the cauldron lighting ceremony too. The cool thing about our games is that everyone is a Gold Medal winner! Click on any of the links to be magically transported to Blogville. Thanks to all of the hosts and amazing athletes.”
BFTB NETWoof Weather with Paisley the Weather Lab
Paisley: “I guess that you are wondering how the weather is going to hold up this week. Believe me when I say it is going to be hot and muggy here on the Bayou. As a matter of fact, the entire Gulf Coast region will feel the same way. There will be some scattered storms throughout the week. Most of the eastern United States will be experiencing a smattering of storms. The western states will be mostly sunny and nice. The southwest can expect more of the high temperatures and storms that are common this time of year. Be sure to tune into your local weather for updates and warnings. Bentley, I will be cheering for you and Pierre in all of your big events. Good luck!”
Bentley: “Thanks, Paisley. We are counting on you. We’d also like to thank you all for depending on the BFTB news team to fetch your news, sports and weather each week. We never take your visits for granted and appreciate your support. Join us all week for cool new products and fun stories. Check us out on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook too. Have a wonderful week and be sure to grab yourself some happy.”

  2. I'm glad the bears have no longer to bear such a sad life. We saw a weird thing in tv yesterday where a bear had to pick the winners of a prize competition. the poor thing had to do handstands and they treated him very bad... the mama called the tv channel, gave them a statement and erased this channel from our tv-menu list immediately.

  8. The Wild Animal Sanctuary is not that far from our house and we've gone out there many times. Lions, tigers and bears (along with some wolves, camels and other species) get a second chance to live out their lives in wide open spaces with fantastic care. It's a very special place. [http://www.wildanimalsanctuary.org for a close up look at a fascinating place] Great news stories this week, guys! 😍

  12. I'm only 9 in human years, so I'm pretty sure I'm too young to drink wine. Mom says she doesn't need me drunk. I'm goofy enough sober.

  13. Well, I sure think our cat Samantha could use that wine to get her moving a bit more! Luke could maybe use to "chill out" at times but his older sisters are probably mellow enough as it is. :) Either way it's a fun idea!

  20. That bear story is so wonderful. It's disgraceful to see how some animals are treated by humans for entertainment purposes. I wish them all happy tails!
