Bentley: “Hello and welcome to BFTB NETWoof News for the week of November 7, 2016. We had to really search for some good news this week. It seems as though humans are having a difficult time being nice to one another and to animals. True to our policy of reporting the good news, we have managed to find some fun to share. Pierre, what is our top story?”
Pierre: “We begin with e wacky invention for dogs. It is called ‘Piqapoo’ and it is basically a bag that fits over a dog’s tail and catches their poo. Seriously? That has to be one of the most embarrassing things that I’ve ever heard of. Apparently, humans think it is a great idea because their Kickstarter has already raised $16,000. I don’t know about you but this is one Westie that will not be seen with a baggie butt!”
Bentley: “I hear you. Besides, what would we scratch and cover if everything landed in a bag? Yuck! You’d never see someone trying to put a bag on a cat’s rear. That would go double for a cat in the U.K. According to Guinness Book of World Records, Ludo is the longest cat measuring an astounding 3 ft. 11”. Maine Coon cats like the one in our photo are usually big but wow!
Pierre: “That is one cat that I would run from. Speaking of running, we want to remind everyone that the big election is tomorrow. No, not that election…we are talking about the Blogville mayoral election. It has been a very friendly competition between Christmas the Dachshund and Arty the Shi-Tzu mix. Both candidates are qualified, honest, and cute. Blogville will be in great paws with either so vote your heart.”
Bentley: “Voting takes place at Hailey & Phod’s. This year’s poll verifier is Oz the Terrier. Blogville polls open at 12:01 a.m. EST on Tuesday, November 8th and will close at 11:59p.m the same day. To cast your vote, leave a comment with the name of your candidate. Be sure to include the URL of your blog for verification. If you have any questions, please check the Blogville election laws here. Our new mayor will be announced once votes are tallied. We would like to thank both candidates for running a clean race. Humans could once again learn something from us. How is the weather going to be for Election Day, Paisley?”
Paisley: It should be nice weather for most of us. The Pacific Northwest will have some showers and there could be some storms along the Texas coastline. The rest of the country will have sunny skies and mild temperatures. Florida can expect some breezy weather and the northeast can expect some rain later in the week. I am looking forward to welcoming our new mayor. Murphy and Stanley have left some mighty big paws to fill but Christmas and Arty have the right stuff. Back to you boys on the Bayou.”
Bentley: “That sounds like a terrific fall forecast. We hope that everyone has a wonderful week. Thank you for stopping by today and be sure to visit throughout the week. Stay safe and be sure to grab yourself some happy.”
