Pierre Westie: “Well, we had a
‘ruff’ time selecting the top story because there are some crazy things
happening in the animal world. We decided to start with one that had us all
shaking our heads. It is not a happy story but one that needs to be told so
that it never happens again. #WhenWeKnowBetter
Spy
stories have been around for years but this government attempt to spy on the
Russians was far from purr-fect. In the 1960’s the CIA had a secret plan to
turn cats into walking undercover agents. Operation ‘Acoustic Kitty’ involved
implanting a microphone and transmitter in a defenseless cat then sending it to
be a spy. Needless to say, it was a huge failure. Seriously, who thought this
was a good idea? Sometimes I wonder how humans have survived this long!”
Bentley: “Good grief! Everyone
knows cats can be sneaky but that is ridiculous.
This
next report reminds me of a few dog friends of mine but I won't mention any names. A family noticed their dog was not feeling well so they
took it to the vet. Trying to prepare the family for the worst, they were told
it could be cancer. An x-ray soon brought both good and surprising news. The
dog did not have cancer. Instead, it had 8 pairs of undies in its belly! That
would be surprising by itself, but this black Lab had also consumed four rubber
bands, a bandaid, and 62 hair ties. The photo is of our adorable Weather Girl
Paisley but she has been known to eat a few odd things too!
Pierre:
“We like to include all sorts of animals on BFTB News so today, we have a
shout-out for a hero pig named Lulu. She was an unwanted birthday gift that
ended up with the recipient’s mom and everyone is glad that she did. The woman
had a heart attack and Lulu ran to find help. She managed to open the front
gate then go into the street where she lied down to attract help. Finally, a
man stopped, and she took him to her human where he called for an ambulance.
Lulu is a true hero!”
Bentley: “Did you watch the
Puppy Bowl or the Kitten Bowl? We admit to switching between the two epic
battles and loved them both! Congratulations to the 2018 Puppy Bowl champs,
Team Fluff, and the winners of the Kitten Bowl, the Pouncy Panthers! We hope
shining a spotlight on these adorable adoptable dogs and cats leads to lots of
new homes for these sweet pets. Those pets and families will be the real
winners.
Paisley the Weather
Lab: “Winter
still has a grip on our friends in the north. They can expect more snow and
frigid temperatures. Parts of the southeast will get some snowfall too. Y’all
be safe out there!
The
Pacific Northwest will be wet along with some of the Rocky Mountain region.
Along the west coast it will be sunny and mild while the east coast is going to
have showers. There is a chance of storms in the south too.
Always
check with your local weather authorities for updates and warnings. Have a
wonderful week.”

Bailie ate a scrunchy she found on the street as a pup. Mom was mortified but five days later she puked it up. Thankfully, we don't eat strange things usually. Great news as always. Have a wonderful week.

ReplyDeleteWe can't watch the puppy or kitten bowl because Luke gets too excited! He thinks TV is real. LOL
I don't think Luke has eaten anything too odd...mostly just toys and some clothing (luckily in pieces, not whole!).

Another FABulous Newscast fellas, and Paisley! Wells, I likes to eat Ma's plants. Sometimes they come back up and Ma isn't happy, cause I"m veeeery sneaky, and she is mad that she didn't notice. I sometimes eats paper stuffs. not on purpose, butts sometimes when I'm shredding the recycling, the spitwad gets in my toothers and it just HAS to be swallowed. ☺ Other than that, no. ☺
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
That lab must have been REALLY hungry! :) Our german shepherd, ShivaMarie, chewed a giant hole in the drywall of our exercise room! Ben was out of town and I had to hire a contractor to re-drywall and paint before Ben got home! We will never forget that. But, she was a typical german shepherd puppy...in to everything! Unfortunately, a short time later she was chasing a rabbit and was hit by a car. I will never forget her. :(
ReplyDeleteLulu the pig was a real hero! Who knew that pigs would be that sensitive? Lulu will probably get very special treatment for the rest of her life!
We have yet another snowstorm on the way for Wednesday...6 to 12 inches of snow...
I didn't get to see the puppy bowl.
