BFTB NETWoof News March 26, 2018

Bentley Basset Hound: “Hello and welcome to BFTB NETWoof News for March 26, 2018. We hope that you enjoyed your weekend. Let us start off your Monday with a smile and some good animal news. I’ll let Pierre fetch our top story.”

Pierre Westie: “We have an awww-inspiring report of an elk living in Kittitas County, Washington where it apparently wandered after being abandoned by its mom. Her story came to light after she approached a group of firefighters and began nuzzling and giving kisses. Many people in the community have seen the elk hanging out with the cattle and goats on the nearby hills. Since her encounter with the fire department, Buttons, as they call her has become quite a celebrity. I don’t think she will be lonely anymore.”

Bentley: “She should drop by the local Elks Club. I hear they have dances and play bingo. Wait…excuse me...you mean they don't allow actual elk at their meetings? Well, that hardly seems fair. Never mind.
This next story serves as a reminder that our feline friends need to have a microchip implanted too. A man in Florida was reunited with his orange tabby cat 14 years after he disappeared. Thomas Jr or T2 as he’s known ran away shortly after they were displaced during Hurricane Jeanne in 2004. His owner was stunned to learn his buddy was alive and well in a Palm City shelter. They were recently reunited.
Pierre and I are both chipped and mom made sure to go online and update the information with our new address and phone number. It was easy and should we get lost, a quick scan will get us back home.”
Pierre: “Getting lost would be more stressful than moving. Speaking of stress, we are so grateful for our Treatibles® CBD oil with MCT coconut and their tasty CBD treats. Remember that these are not psychoactive drops so your pet will not get high. Treatibles are made from hemp and offer a wide range of therapeutic applications without the THC associated with marijuana. Hemp contains 80 cannabinoids and less than .3% THC.
Phytocannabinoid infused products for pets have been shown to reduce stress, can work well in combating seizures due to epilepsy and can increase the appetite of sick or aging animals. It also relieves pain and helps stop itching due to allergies.
Have you tried CBDs with your dog, cat or other pet? I’m not just an affiliate for Treatibles. I am a customer! Save 10% with our code BFTB and tell them the BFTB News Team sent you! Bentley: You know one of our favorite sports team is the crew from the Liver Killers Dock Diving Team at Cello's Corner. They fill us with thrills and incredible feats as they fly through the air and into the water. We learned that the matriarch of the gang, Limoncello will be retiring from the action this year.
As a result of some recent testing, she was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and two leaky heart valves. We are sad that she won’t be joining Hooch and Lager on the docks but are so grateful for her many incredible dives that we were able to enjoy. I’m sure she will love getting involved in a less strenuous sport and will no doubt be amazing! The BFTB news team salutes our friend Limoncello on a fabulous career.”
Paisley: “I will be cheering for Hooch and Lager. Mostly Hooch. He is soooo dreamy. Ahem…
There is one word for the weather this week and that is wet. Most of the country will experience some rain or scattered showers. The Pacific Northwest has a chance of rain but if you live in one the upper midwest states it is going to be more snow for y’all. It should be nice in the New England states but the east coast will be rainy. If you are looking for sunshine and nice warm temperatures, you need to head to Florida or southern California. As you can see on the map, most areas can expect some chance of precipitation.
Remember to check with your local weather report for any warnings or updates. Have a fun week no matter what the weather is in your area.”
Bentley: Mom is wondering how I will react to thunderstorms in our house. We have had beautiful weather since we moved but it looks like we could find out soon.
We have some great reviews and stories this week including the ideal bag for walks and a tasty new chew treat. You don’t want to miss the fun!
It’d be awesome if you’d hit the share button at the bottom of our blog and send us to your social media followers. You can also sign up to have Barking from the Bayou delivered fresh to your email Monday through Friday. Let’s share some laughs over coffee.
Now go out there and grab yourself some happy!”

  6. Love the elk story. It's great when the wild animals can mix with other animals and get along. Bummer the elks club doesn't allow elk. What a silly thing that is!
