BFTB NETWoof News April 16, 2018

Bentley Basset Hound: “Hello and welcome to BFTB NETWoof News for the week of April 16, 2018. We appreciate you joining us. Pierre is very excited to share the top story.”

Pierre Westie: “I hate to say that the top story is all about me, but this just in…tomorrow is MY birthday and we are celebrating in a big way! I will be seven and wanted to share the fun by hosting a giveaway. You are ALL invited to stop by here tomorrow to see party pics and fetch the details of the contest. I sure hope there will be cake and ice cream.”

"We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.”
Bentley: “I hope you get treats that we can share. This next story really had our tails wagging. As you know, we are Amazon affiliates and share links in our posts to earn extra money. However, we are not part of the 6,000 dogs that go to work at Amazon’s Seattle Headquarters on any given day. The company allows its employees to bring their pups to work with them and they also fetch some pretty good perks.
The 17th floor of one building has a doggie deck that includes a fake fire hydrant, designated dog relief stations, poop bag stations and drinking fountains. There is also a new community off-leash dog park with rocks and other structures for the dogs to enjoy. We think that is bow wow wonderful!”

Pierre: “Let me begin this story by saying I think cats are loyal and loving friends. Having made that point, a woman in the U.K. recently discovered that she had been replaced by an automatic feeder. You see, her cats used to bring her little gifts to show their love. When she began using the automated food dish, it wasn’t long before her cats began taking their loving gifts and dropping it for the feeder! Hey, you have to keep the one who dishes the food happy, am I right?”

Bentley: “Our last story is going to have some of you cats and dogs shaking your heads. A recent study of fox squirrels at the University of California, Berkeley found that tree rats aren’t quite as indecisive as they seem when trying to cross a road. Psychologist Mikel Delgado found that they actually use several things before deciding whether to store the food or save it for dinner.
When you watch a squirrel twirl a nut in its paws, it is actually checking the weight, examining for holes, and deciding the best way to carry it. They also use a scatter approach so they have food buried in several locations in hopes that some will be there when they need it. Squirrels also practice ‘chunking’ where they store like nuts together. It’s the same thing humans do in their cabinets when they put baking goods on one shelf, canned goods on another and so on.
I hate to admit it, but I might have a little more admiration for them. That doesn’t mean we won’t chase them, but we will do it with more respect.”
BFTB NETWoof Weather
Paisley the Weather Lab: “We have some big squirrels in our neighborhood, so I think they’re eating more than they are storing. Now, let’s look at what’s in store for this week’s weather.
It will be rainy in the Pacific Northwest and that system is going to move across the northern states throughout the week. The Great Lakes area will be cool and the Plains can expect some nice mild weather. The east coast is in for some fair and warm days while it will be sunny in Florida. The south is going to heat up from the most recent cool front and have sunny skies. Our California and the southwestern friends should count on nice days with plenty of sunshine.
   Happy birthday Pierre!”
Bentley: “That wraps it up for this edition of BFTB NETWoof News. If you haven’t had a chance to visit 4Knines and read Mom’s article on ‘9 Tips for Moving with Dogs, we’d really appreciate if you would.
We are also offering The Returns Ebook FREE this Friday ~ Monday. If you haven’t read it, be sure to download it this weekend.
As far as the rest of the week, we have Pierre’s birthday party, a couple of amazing reviews and all of the fun we can dig up! Have an awesome day and be sure to grab yourself some happy.”

  7. Birthday #7 Pierre that is a lucky bday for sure and it is Mom's favorite number!!

We had to chuckle about the cat and its automatic feeder. There is no explaining a cat and we say this with love. Their devotion is conditional. LOL
