Barking About Hallmark's American Rescue Dog Show

Something happened over the Christmas holidays that I haven’t really talked about, but I am here to set the record straight. I was surfing through the tv channels when I stopped on the Hallmark channel. It was a romantic Christmas movie and just like that, I became addicted to Hallmark movies! If you love romance and happily ever afters, tune to the Hallmark channel and enjoy the sweet love stories. Most of them only last 90 minutes so they don’t take up your entire evening.
Now that I have that confession off my chest, let me tell you another awesome reason to check out Hallmark this Sunday, February 17 and Monday, February 18, 2019 for the American Rescue Dog Show. It is not like any other dog show because this competition has mixed breeds and pure breed rescue dogs. Hosted by Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell, you’ll enjoy some wonderful canine performers in a variety of categories.

Of course, all the dogs are winners when they find their forever homes. Please help me share this special dog show on social media using hashtag #BestinRescue. Thanks so much.

Choose Sweet Potate'r Chews from Dr. Harvey's

Happy Valentine’s Day! Since the Bayou Boys aren’t impressed with flowers and they can’t have chocolate, their gift was a no-brainer.
When it comes to treats, it doesn’t get any simpler or tastier than Sweet Potate’r Chews. That’s because it is made with one ingredient, dehydrated sweet potatoes!
Dogs love chews and Sweet Potate’r Chews are a safe and natural alternative to rawhide or molded products. These treats are healthy for your pup! The sweet potatoes are grown and dehydrated in the United States and delivered to Dr. Harvey’s every week.

Exploring the Neighborhood

Yesterday we showed you how the Bayou Boys enjoy their Backyard Shenanigans. Today, we are going to show you where we go for our walks.
The sidewalks on our main streets are beautifully maintained and the gardens are overflowing with flowers.

Backyard Shenanigans

Do you ever wonder what the Bayou Boys do when they are running around in the yard? Well, this is basically how they spend their time. Of course, when the Texas sun is shining, they love to lay in the grass and absorb some rays.

BFTB NETWoof News February 11, 2019

Bentley Basset Hound: “Hello and welcome to this week’s BFTB NETWoof News. We have some great stories for you so let’s throw it over to my co-anchor Pierre for the top story.”

Pierre Westie: “For Valentine’s Day week, we have some stories about love and rescues starting with a dog that was labeled ‘Britain’s Loneliest Dog’ after spending over five years in a rescue shelter.
Freya is a six-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix that is described as a sweet and friendly bundle of joy and affection. The shelter’s deputy kennel manager voiced her concern after over 18,000 visitors and not a single adoption offer for Freya. They weren’t sure if her diagnosis of Epilepsy was a deterrent or not, but she is such a great dog that it seemed so unfair for her to spend years waiting.

Memories in Black & White Day #2

Welcome to Friday and the weekend! We are continuing a look back through some of our favorite black & white photos of the Bayou Boys.
Enjoy Day #2
Bentley can look so serious sometimes that I have to wonder what he is thinking. My bet is that it has something to do with food or world peace.

February's Love Letter

Dear Mom,
Can you believe it is already February? I was perusing our calendar and noticed we will be celebrating a number of human holidays. In addition to Make a Friend Day, there’s Groundhog Day, Fat Tuesday, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day. You’ll notice that those are all one day celebrations and really have nothing to do with pets. Not to say that we don’t appreciate a little something-something on February 14th. Just sayin’…
Pierre and I set about trying to dig up some special howlidays for pets and guess what we discovered?

Help! My Dog Has Diarrhea

Today I want to discuss something that nobody wants to talk about, but everyone has to deal with it. I’m referring DIARRHEA. No matter how careful that you are with your dog and their digestive system, it is going to happen. Loose, liquid or frequent stools are not uncommon in dogs of all ages. There are a multitude of reasons and can be as simple as a change in their diets.
No matter what the cause might be, there is one question on every pet parent’s lips; “How do I make it stop?” In the past, you might have tried an emergency diet of boiled chicken and rice with some canned pumpkin mixed in for good measure. Then, it is a wait and see situation. In the meantime, your dog feels yucky and there is good chance that your carpet is going to need steam cleaned.
