Spring Forward 4 Flowers

Tulips in Washington
This weekend most of the United States will set their clocks forward one hour. Daylight savings time officially begins Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2:00 AM. That gives us more daylight in the evenings and less in the morning.

Many people are opposed to the practice of “Springing Forward” this time of the year. I love the time change although it takes a few days to get used to it. The extra daylight makes me happy and seems to lift my spirits. Of course, I was born on the first day of spring so I might be more prone to enjoying spring fever than others.

The main reason this is my favorite time of the year is it brings us FLOWERS!

  4. We are not opposed to which way the clock goes, we just find it ridiculous to change the clocks at all. No flowers here in the near future. Another foot of snow this weekend, and more again next week. Now it is getting to be a bit much! Happy Friday!

  8. Oh oh OH! Your birthday is the same as mine! Isn't it a bummer for the year when it's the last day of Winter...happens every 8 years or so...

  9. We won't see any flowers until well beyond the time change! I am a morning person, so I don't like it when it's darker in the morning, and that lost hour just wreaks havoc with my routines and my sleep. I'll be tired all week. We are not fans on either side of it!!

  10. Mom and I love the light. We are dying for longer days. Maybe I won't have to wear my PupLight collar as much.

  11. Tulips sure do make us think Spring. Mom likes to spring ahead because, once the temps are warmer, she can walk us in the early evening while it is still light outside. Have a nice weekend.

  15. Flowers are good but time changes, not so much. Thanks for the reminder though. I'll be crabbish waking up in the dark for a while and trying to sort out Elsa's anti-seizure meds that are delivered every 12 hours. *Sigh*

  16. Wagnificient color; our Canadian eyes so need it.
Don’t mind Springing forward but Fall back is dog gone redogulous for those of us who get so little sun/light.
