5 Reasons Dog Love Going on Walks

Westie and Basset Hound
Dogs love going on walks. It is probably one of the most exciting parts of their day. Bentley and Pierre know when we are about to take them walking. They bark as they hurry to get their harnesses and leashes attached. I asked them what makes walking so special for dogs. The following are their answers.
The Barking from the Bayou office
• It’s great to get out of the house for a while. Staring at the same walls gets so boring.

Basset and Westie walking
• It is fun to walk with your best buddy so that you can discuss dog things.

• Walking gives you a chance to catch up with the neighborhood pee-mail.

• A brisk walk will tire you out and makes your next nap appear legit.

• Let’s face it, our humans need the exercise.

  4. Bentley and Pierre, sometimes I want to ask my neighbors if I can walk their dogs, when I go out each evening for my exercise. I've never walked a dog, but I'd learn, 'cause I know it's good for them.

  6. Thanks for sharing all your excellent points. Our favorite is after a long walk. Get some water and right to taking a nap for a couple of hours. Have a wonderful rest of your day.

  7. Our most important reason is pee-mail..anything worth sniffing. Had to chuckle at the dog beds, something tells us there was a bed exchange happening.

  8. The last one was most important. It's having dogs that helps keep us humans healthier, in so many ways! ♥

  11. We agree 100% about all of those reasons. Also, sometimes the deer and the geese leave candies in the grass!
