I didn't evict her, nor stop her from doing it. i loved that she felt safe on our balcony to build her nest there. I did finally get rid of the planter that had no plant in it (after year 3) and she never came back, which makes me sad.Cat and DOG Chat With Carenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02666719374831725417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-660403021590106773.post-73486028701557936142014-04-06T12:43:04.652-05:002014-04-06T12:43:04.652-05:00I just enjoy the nests until the birds fledge. For some reason birds always want to build their nests under our deck too, and it often doesn't go well for them....the dogs are outside playing all the time and the mama can't spend much time sitting on the nest. Last year they lost their first ones to the cold spring. I don't know why they keep coming back! There's plenty of trees outside the yard they could use.<br />Jan, Wag 'n Woof Petsjank1961https://www.blogger.com/profile/02300333186503144220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-660403021590106773.post-9741252372580539642014-04-06T06:36:02.529-05:002014-04-06T06:36:02.529-05:00We have a nest every year in the lilac tree out fr...We have a nest every year in the lilac tree out front. It doesn't bother us, so we leave them there. We don't like the ones that build nests under our deck, so as soon as we see the start of construction, Mom takes it down. Usually they manage to get one nest built, but we try to prevent it as it is a dirty mess!
