During the last days of May,
we received a package from Pet Naturals of Vermont. I was familiar with the brand and quickly
opened our box. Inside were a 45 count
Hip & Joint Bone-Shaped Chews and a 60-count canister of Flea & Tick towelettes. As usual, the boys had their noses stuck
inside the delivery box. I’ll let them
take it from here.
Bentley: “Thanks Mom. Like she said, the deliveryman brought a box
to our door. We barked out “thanks.” We followed Mom to see what was inside. It was towelettes and some yummy smelling
treats from Pet Naturals of Vermont”
Me: “Well, the treats were actually their Hip & Joint Bone-Shaped Chews. That is why you can’t
have them every time you want one. For a
Basset Hound your size, you get two each day. I only give Pierre one a day. Neither of you have any hip or joint problems
nor do we ever want them."
Pierre: “It’s true, Bentley. She gives me one after we have our
breakfast. Once when we ate them on an
empty stomach and I felt kinda yucky. I
have a sensitive stomach, so Gramma has to be careful when she gives me new things.”
Bentley: “I have a cast iron
stomach. That’s why I’m always mooching
suggesting they share every single thing they eat with me. The truth is; I’m trying to lose some
weight. Being over-weight can cause
stress on a dog’s hips and joint. I don’t
want to have problems when I get older.”
Me: “We don’t want you to have any trouble. Basset Hounds are not immune from hip dysplasia. I can’t prevent hip dysplasia since it is
hereditary, but giving you supplements can slowdown or halt the progression. These little bones have Glucosamine HCI; an
anti-inflammatory, used to help form and repair things like your cartilage. We’ll do anything to help you live a more
active life.”
Pierre: “I don’t have any trouble with my hips
or joints. I like to run circles around
y’all. I’m thinking
Gramma should try
one of the Hip & Joint Bone Chews.
She has that bum knee, we can share with her; it’s the loyal dog thing
to do.”
Bentley: “She takes human
supplements. These are strictly for
dogs, it says so right on the bag. Plus,
it has all of the ingredients, a size/serving chart, and a super-hero dog wearing
a cape. Mom, do we have a cape that I
can wear? I’m feeling super myself. I know this is a long-term supplement, but I
do seem to be able to get up on the couch easier, just sayin’. What’s this other seal?”
Me: “This seal is the NASC Quality Seal. That stands for National Animal Supplement
Council. It lets me know that Pet
Naturals of Vermont adheres to some very strict rules and regulations. I’ll check on the cape, I’m sure we have one
somewhere.”
Pierre: “Well, if Bentley gets a cape, I want one too. Should we give our paws of
approval to the Hip & Joint Bone Chews or wait until we talk about our
other product?”
Bentley: “Let’s keep everyone
guessing. Before we talk about the Flea
& Tick Towelettes, we do want to tell our friends something else. They can get great information about the formula and benefits
of Pet Naturals Hip & Joint supplement here. We also enjoyed the Hip & Joint YouTube video. So, let’s rate both products at the end. A little anticipation is exciting AND we have
a super offer for both of our reviews.
Me: “Our other review for today is Pet Naturals Flea &Tick Towelettes. Just like their other
products, the towelettes use all-natural ingredients. We have been looking for something like this
for a long time.”
Pierre: “I am all for going chemical-free with
the bug repellents. Hey, are you thinking
what I’m thinking?”
Bentley: “I doubt it.” *rolling
eyes*
Pierre:
“Check out how
these towelettes are shaped. Huh,...getting
anything? Geez, Bentley! We can use them as capes! Tuck one in the neck of my collar. I’m gonna jump off something.” *hopping
up and down in excitement*
Bentley: “Nope, that is definitely
not what I was thinking. You don’t wear
the towelettes; you just wipe them over your entire body. Well, except you have to be careful around
your eyes, mouth, and nose. Be sure and
get your belly and. Besides, they aren’t
big enough for a real super-hero cape.”
Pierre: *sigh* “It
was still a great idea. Of course, they
are super towelettes whether they are cape-sized or not. If there is one thing I dread, it is getting
fleas or ticks. I had a tick one time
and I thought I was gonna die. That
hideous thing was sucking my life’s blood right out of my body! I don’t even want to think about all of the
diseases it could have given me.”
Me: I think that we are very lucky not to have dogs in any of
the yards around us. We don’t have a
tick or flea problem. *knock on wood* Pet Naturals Flea &
Tick towelettes do repel our biggest problem…mosquitoes!”
Bentley: “Oh, can we talk about the
mosquito population in our neighborhood?
They are ridiculous. If we
go
outside in the morning or at dusk, we are attacked. Some of them are ginormous and others are
those no-see-ems. Mom is always reaching
down to swipe at one trying to bite me. They
are like flying leeches. None of the
drops that she uses really helps much with mosquitoes. She wiped us with these and immediately
noticed they weren’t lighting on us. That
is amazing!”
Pierre: “I enjoyed the aroma. It smells like lemongrass. Gramma had two big lemongrass-filled planters
on the back porch last summer. Each wipe
also contains cinnamon oil, sesame oil, and castor oil. In case you’re wondering, the lemongrass is a
natural insect pesticide. That’s why Gramma
grew it last year. Cinnamon oil works as
an insect repellent and who doesn’t love the smell of cinnamon? Insects, I guess. They use the sesame oil to replenish moisture to
our skin and shield us from unwanted pests.”
Bentley: “I know what the castor oil
does; it helps mask the scent of our skin and coat. It is cool that they blend all of those
beneficial oils into a convenient wipe.”
Pierre: “Can we give our paws of approval now?”
Me: “Let’s mention they can read the towelettes’ other
ingredients and benefits by clicking here.
Tell them about the super offer from Pet Naturals of Vermont.”
Bentley: “I call dibs on telling
them! Okay, here is deal that we want to
share with all of our readers. Pet
Naturals is offering the first 100 entries at this site, a very special FREE
BAG ($29.99 retail value) of their Hip & Joint Bone Chews. After the first 100 visitors sign-up,
everyone else will receive a valuable coupon.”
Pierre: “Well, I’m telling them about the Flea
& Tick offer! Here is the deal; this
is another giveaway to the first 100 visitors.
They are offering a FREE 8 oz. Flea & Tick Convenient Spray Bottle
($21.99 retail value) along with a valuable coupon. After the first 100, Pet Naturals will email others
a valuable coupon, so you can try this for your pets.”
Me: “Good job, boys!
Now let’s get your paws up and rating.
Remember our paw scale; one is the lowest or not recommended, and five
is the highest or we highly recommend the product. Now, y’all promised to be honest so let’s
have it.”
Bentley: “After some discussion, Pierre
and I have decided unanimously. I do
want to explain our reasons for voting the way we did as we present. Ahem…
Pet Naturals Hip & Joint for Dogs:
Bentley: “Hip & Joint Bone Chews
rated a four. It is a long-term
supplement and I have only used it a couple of weeks. I believe that there is a difference in my
ease of movement, but we want to use the product longer.”
Pet Naturals Flea & Tick Towelettes:
Pierre: “We gave the towelettes five paws up! Although we aren’t exposed to fleas and
ticks, it is working against the mosquitoes.
That rates five paws from us.”

Those are some great paws up from you pals. Sadly we don't have them across the pond. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
We are always looking for hip and joint help for Katie, her arthritis is not getting any better these days. They say the mosquito is the MN state bird, but we haven't seen too many so far this year. We never have much trouble with them as dogs it seems. Glad to hear you have an iron stomach, Bentley. Bailie and I seem to as well. It is nice to be able to eat just about anything with no trouble!
ReplyDeleteGreat to know that many brands are making supplemental treats. PAWsome review. Golden Woofs
