Platypus and Fox

Bentley::  “Friends, I am here today to tell you about a mischievous murder that happened right inside my home.  Some of you may remember back in March when we received a Skinneeez Platypus in our PetBox.  It was one of the best toys ever.  Patty, as I affectionately called her, was my favorite toy.  I speak of her in past tense due to an unbarkable crime.  I hate to make it sound like Pierre is to blame, but it is all his fault."

Pierre: “You can’t prove that I had anything to do Miss Patty’s sudden demise.  In my opinion, she has been looking pretty frail for the past few weeks.  I’m surprised that she lasted this long.  The poor platypus never had an ounce of stuffing in her.  I think she just withered away.  It’s so sad.”

Bentley: “You've been trying to kill Patty Platy since she moved in with us.  She was a great toy; I’m going to miss her.  Bless her heart."

Pierre: “Look Bentley!  It’s a brand new Skinneeez Fox!  The toy fairy must have felt sorry for you.  Let me check it out for you.”

Bentley: “YES, a fox!  I’m going to love her and care for her, and call her Shirley.  You can hold her, but be careful.  Her squeakers are very fragile.”

 Pierre: “Oh my gracious.  Shirley is soft.  I must bite her very hard.”

Bentley: “Did he hurt you? Squeak to me!”

Pierre: “Tell me again what the fox says.  It sounds like Acckkk!"

Bentley: "Don’t worry, you're safe with me.  I'll put you in my special toy hiding place.  Pierre will never find you there."  

Pierre: “You'll never believe where I found Shirley the Fox. I was checking out your secret hiding place and surprise!  Do you see how she stuck her tail in my mouth?  I was just bringing her back to you. I think she is going to be trouble.”

Bentley: “That does it!  I’m taking my new Skinneeez Shirley Fox and going to my room.  Don’t follow me until you can play nice."
