Bentley: “Hello and welcome to BFTB
NETWoof Channel 7 News. It has been a
busy week in the dog world, so let’s get right to the stories. Our top story today; Hello Kitty is not a
cat. There seems to be some controversy
over whether Miss Kitty White is truly a little girl. Christine R.
Yano, the author of "Pink
Globalization: Hello Kitty's Trek Across the Pacific”
told the L.A. Times Hello Kitty is a British girl. Sanrio,
the company responsible for the Hello Kitty craze is quoted as saying, “Hello
Kitty was done in the motif of a cat. It's
going too far to say that Hello Kitty is not a cat. Hello Kitty is a personification of a cat." Does this mean the cat is out of the bag when
it comes to Hello Kitty? Pierre, what do
you think?”
Pierre: “I’m not a
big fan of the bow-wearing cat/girl. This
reporter would chase her up a tree regardless.
Speaking of being a big fan, a Great Dane from Portland is a bit of a
fanatic when it comes to socks. With the X-ray vision of 43.5 socks in the Dane's stomach, the
DoveLewis Animal Hospital won a $500 second place prize for the 2014 X-Ray
Contest from The Veterinary Practice News. After exploratory surgery to
remove the socks, I am happy to report the big guy recovered quickly.”

"It's Bogville's first mayoral debate and you can count on us to have the inside scoop." |
Bentley:
It
seems that Great Dane took getting its fiber to another level. On the political front, the Great Debate is
scheduled for Blogville mayoral candidates Murphy and Stanley a.k.a. the
Doodle Brothers and Dory, the lovely Lhasa Apso. . I had a chance to ask each candidate two
questions prior to debating. *Cut to audio
**Bentley: "Hello,
Miss Dory. Thank you for joining
me. I know that you are busy this
week. How are you preparing for the
debate?"
Miss Dory: “What a good
question! Jakey is going over the issues
and we are concentrating on the bigger issues.
Even more importantly, I am looking for a new dress!”
Bentley: What
is your biggest advantage in the debate?
Miss Dory: Wow, I don't know...Murphy and Stanley are
going to be tough to beat, but we are lucky to have the "home field"
advantage. I also have the experience
factor on my side; we have been residents of Blogville for almost 5 years now. All in all, I think it is going to be a pretty
tight race!”
Bentley: We
look forward to a vigorous debate and I am looking forward to seeing that new
dress.”
Miss Dory: “Thanks so much for
interviewing me Bentley, we are looking forward to a fun and exciting time both
at the debate and on our way to the
election!”
The Doodle Brothers: In an
effort to be totally prepared for the Debates, we have been studying current
events as well as Blogville history. We
have been traveling far and wide and listening to the concerns voiced by the
citizens of Blogville. We have also had
baths and taken care of other personal thingies.”
Benley: “I know Blogville will be happy to know that your personal thingies
as well as your grooming is being maintained.
What do you think is your biggest advantage in the approaching debate?”
The Doodle Brothers: “Our biggest advantage is that we are Doodles and everybody loves
Doodles. Murphy looks like a Teddy Bear
and that appeals to the women. We also
play in a famous band, Bad Dawg Agency.”
Bentley Rover Reporter: “Murphy, Stanley I
appreciate y’all taking time out from kissing puppies and kitties to answer my
questions. We look forward to hearing
more from our mayoral candidates on Monday, Sept 22 on Frankie & Ernie’s
blog. Frankie Furter will be moderating the
event.”
Pierre: “We hope this debate doesn’t turn into a cat fight. Hee hee!
Frankie is well known for his cool demeanor. He was the first mayor of Blogville in 2010
and served two terms. I contacted Mayor Emeritus
Frankie Furter for his preparations and he assured me it was in good paws. Here is clip of our conversation:
Mayor Furter’s Voice Over: Being Moderator of
Blogville's FIRST Ever Mayoral
DEBATE... is a BIG HONOR,
and a BIG responsibility. I had to write
the questions and then collect the answers that the Candidates submitted. Those are being kept under STRICT GUARD... in
a HERMETICALLY-sealed Mayonnaise Jar on Funk and Wagnall's Porch.”
Bentley: “I think
we can all agree that is the safest place to keep important documents. Turning to sports, Jiff a Los Angeles Pomeranian
was recently awarded the title of “Fastest Dog on Two Paws” from the Guinness
Book of World Records. Jiff can go 16.4
feet in 7.76 seconds on his front paws and can run 32.8 feet in 6.56 seconds on
his hind legs. It look like Jiff put the
“ran” in Pomeranian! Pierre.”
Pierre: “Be sure to tune in here tomorrow
for an inexpensive project that anyone can make for their local shelter. We are joining Tractor Supply Company to lend
a paw to local shelters with incredible buys from our neighborhood TSC
store. Their big event is September 17
thru 21st.Dog lovers are howling the praises of the great deals
available. Bentley, how does the weather
look across the nation?”
Bentley: “Our
friends in Cabo San Lucas and Baja California need to batten down their hatches
against Hurricane Odile. It looks like everyone has a chance of rain
showers and cooler temperatures. Autumn
will fall on September 22nd and I for one can’t wait to wave
good-bye to the dog days of summer.”
Pierre: “Thank you for joining us today on B.F.T.B. Channel 7 NETWoof News.”
Bentley:
“For my co-anchor Pierre and myself, have a great
day and be sure to grab you some happy!”

Thanks for a great news report, boys! We are really confused about that whole hello kitty thing...it is bigger than the NFL scandals for us! So very weird! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the debate. LOL cat fight? Now that would be a thing. Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I am also worried about the debate becoming a CAT FIGHT.... in light of the SHOCKING news about Hello Kitty. BUTT Dory and Murphy and Stanley are all pawfessional... it is their respective Campaign Staffs that I am concerned about... THEY can be a PAW FULL.
ReplyDeleteThank you fur interviewing me... it was very much exciting.
I'm sure the debate will be quite the show!
ReplyDeleteIt's gonna be a close run call. Dory or the Doods, think the pinky dress might be in the running too.
