What
would you do if your dog suddenly became deathly ill from pesticide
poisoning? If you are Stephanie Boone,
you found your own natural and organic products company. In 2008, Stephanie’s dog Luna, an Akita-Husky
mix, developed pesticide poisoning, the side effects ranged from seizures and
chronic skin issues to liver and kidney failure. Luna was ten-years old and had been treated
each month of her life with a traditional, veterinarian prescribed flea &
tick treatment containing fipronil as the active ingredient.
Several
vets advised her it was time to put Luna down due to her age. They reassured Stephanie that her dog had
lived a good life and nothing could be done to improve Luna’s health. This was simply not an option. Stephanie began researching pesticide
formulas, the impact of traditional pesticides on human and animal health, the regulatory
laws, and federal environmental policies.
What she discovered ignited a fire inside her so intense that she left
her career and joined scientists, professors, and holistic vets to develop
Wondercide™.
Developing
natural and organic products that never use any harmful chemicals or synthetic
pesticides, Wondercide™ treats the source, not the symptom. Being a Green
America Gold Certified Green Business, they are dedicated to making the
world a healthier place ecologically, ethically, and socially. Guaranteeing all of their products are “Made
in the USA” from the formulation to fulfillment, they even try to minimize paper
waste whenever they can.
After
being in business for six years, Wondercide™ now offers an innovative line of
natural
pest
control and holistic care products for the three P’s…people, pets, and
property. Hoping that no pet will ever
suffer from pesticide poisoning, the company encourages everyone to “Treat
nature With Nature.” F.Y.I.
~ Luna is a happy and healthy 15 year-old girl today!
I
discovered Wondercide™ products with their Natural Ear Care. As most of you can imagine, Bentley’s long
ears drag up a lot of dirt. Ear cleaning
is a daily ritual in our home. We have
battled ear infections and it is easier to prevent them than to treat
them. I am very cautious any time I put
something inside his ears. Dogs’ ears
are very sensitive and he will quickly let me know if a drop is
unpleasant.
AllEars™ Wash is formulated without chemicals, artificial colors, preservatives,
colors, fragrances, or alcohol. It is
even bottled in BPA-free plastic. Pet
parents can use it safely on dog, cats, puppies, and kittens. I am always looking for a better ear wash and
there are many on the market.
Since ear cleaning has been a near daily routine for six
years, Bentley sits and allows me to place several drops into each ear
canal. He loves when I massage the base
of his ears for 1 to 2 minutes. When I
am finished massaging, he shakes his head to assist in removing any excess wax,
dirt, or other matter. I then use a
cotton pad to wipe the inside of his ear and along the crevasses. *Never use cotton-tipped applicators inside
your dog’s ear canal.
All Ears™ Ear Wash removed the wax and dirt leaving Bentley’s
ears clean and deodorized. I like
knowing that the wash is a natural anti-inflammatory that can reduce
swelling. It will also help prevent ear infections,
which is one of my main missions in Bentley’s health care. The drops are friendly enough to be used
several times a day to treat bacteria yeast, fungi, and ear mites.
Browsing through the different products available from Wondercide™ certainly make me want to try them. It
would be great to have a safe outdoor pest control that doesn’t need to be
sprayed for hours before the dogs walk on it.
There is also a mosquito repellent that I am itching to try! Do you have trouble finding a safe
alternative to chemical treatments?
Check out the Wondercide™ site to find a healthful natural solution.

We are joining Ruckus the Eskie and Love is being owned by a Husky for Thoughtless Thursday. Stop by and say “hello” to them and these other ‘thoughtless” bloggers.
I have tried some different Wondercide products before and really like this company. They are also from where I live in Austin. This ear cleanser looks pretty nice!
ReplyDeleteWe too get our ears cleaned from time to time. Not something that is enjoyed round here. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I will be looking into this!! With four dogs and four cats a large garden and how outdoorsy we are, traditional preventatives can get expensive! Not to mention what you use on dogs isn't generally safe for cats to be around. Top those points off, we do have a few dogs (they are all mixes) that have a quite a bit of those 'pesticide sensitive' breeds in them so I always get anxious every time I use it wondering if this is the time that the will react... plus I can barely stomach the idea of putting an endocrine disruptor (in charge of hormone production, linked to immune/lymph system, and sweat glands [more for humans than dogs] which is why us humans are told to immediately wash any areas that come in contact with the topicals) on my dogs let alone giving them and oral type.
ReplyDeleteI have used some of the products from Wondercide. I like that they are all natural with no weird chemicals. I never tried the ear wash though. Definitely something to consider. Thanks!

Hm, never heard of them! I love natural things though, and this company sounds great! I will definitely check them out!
ReplyDeleteღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
This is a NEW one to us... it sounds fantastic though.
ReplyDeleteBentley that sounds great, I always have problems with my ears (like the most of us dogs with floppy ears). natural things are great, thanks for a super review!
ReplyDeletePoodle ears often have problems. This is worth investigating for us.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like good stuff! Right now my momma uses Berts Bees ear wash in my ears.
ReplyDeleteIt's also new to us....We are trying to switch Arty to "everything natural" because of his allergies, this sounds worth a try.
ReplyDeletewe had never heard of them before now.
ReplyDeleteRe: Subaru D.L. we think it was about a year or so ago... you could get a "LICENSE" from their Web Site... Maybe it is still up. You could Check.
ReplyDeleteWe love Wondercide! we have tried a few products - all with great success. BIO DEFENSE - a natural way to take care of houshold insects, including dust mites, FIDOPLEX- joint supplement - it has really helped Hazel feel more spunky
ReplyDeleteAnd SKIN TONIC OIL. When Bailey had a very irritated foot he would not leave alone - we massaged this on his foot and covered with a sock and it healed in a couple of days. And I have used it when I have a mild psoriasis break out to relieve the itching - great stuff!

Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mom
I know all about the trials and tribulations of long floppys. I had ear infections for several years, but finally found a homemade ear wash that works and I have (crossing my paws) been infection free for 3 years now. My latest issue is my ear tips are always wet because of the fur and hanging in my water bowl and on the ground. The one side is getting some bacterial issues but we are working on that now with a shampoo and Mom is always drying my ears with her dryer. We love my floppys, but they are a lot of work!
ReplyDeleteI have heard of this company but didn't know a lot about it, so I'm glad to learn more! Sheba has had ear infections so we try to keep up on hers as well. In general I only clean them bi-weekly, but I wouldn't mind doing it more with a safe all natural product like this. We might have to give it a try!

Nice cleaning regimen! Happy Thoughtless Thursday!
