Bentley: “Welcome to BFTB Channel 7 NETWoof News. This is a special broadcast with a highlight on the new administration in Blogville. It actually works out well for this week’s news. It seems that some humans are causing a lot of pain and suffering to others. People, groups, and countries are not playing nice and they don’t seem to care whether they hurt one another. That is why Blogville is such a special place.”
Pierre:
“You’re right. Most humans could
learn an awful lot of good things if they took a lesson from the Blogville
community. We let everyone have their
own bark or meow…even oink, squeak, or squawk if that’s their thing. Animals would make great people. Take the story of Noah the German
Shepherd. The dad had gone into the
store to pick up Noah a new collar while the family waited in the car with their dog. From out of nowhere an incident of road rage spilled over into the parking lot. Gunfire erupted and the window of Noah’s
family car shattered. He jumped over the
seat and pushed his human back.
Unfortunately, in his heroic effort to save her, the bullet hit Noah in
the neck. It didn’t keep him from
leaping out of the car’s window and chasing the gunman. When his human came out and saw his wife, he ran to help Noah. Finding him collapsed
on the sidewalk, the man attempted to breath into his dog’s mouth. Sadly, Noah gave his life for his family.”
Bentley: “What happened next is more
proof of what we say all the time; dog and
cat people have something special in their hearts. A breeder in Michigan heard the family's story and
drove 750 miles from her home to deliver an adorable new Shepherd puppy. The family was overjoyed with the new dog,
named Kris. The pup has helped them
heal, but they will always have a special place in their hearts to their hero
dog, Noah. We here at BFTB salute
Noah. Run free.”
Pierre:
“On a lighter note, did any of you see the photos from Dory’s
P.J. Party? We aren’t one of those tabloid news shows, so click here
for the fun. Before we get into the our
new role in the Blogville community, we wanted to give a shout-out to our
friends Mark Barone and his wife, Marina Dervan.
Their An Act of Dog ~ Museum of Compassion is about to reach a milestone. Mark’s goal of 5,500 portraits featuring
shelter dogs is very close. You can see
in this video that he is only 40 away from his goal. Read our story on this amazing project here.”
Bentley: “As many of you know,
Blogville has celebrated over the past few days. We watched the pomp and circumstance of our
Doods Murphy and Stanley take the oath of office as co-mayors at Madi’s Place. Before City Manager Dory’s big PJ party, she
presented the new Blogville Flag. We
think she did an amazing job. You can
learn more about Blogville flag etiquette here.
Dory’s party was fun, but being serious reporters, we did not allow
ourselves to be photographed in our footie jammies.”
Pierre:
“No pictures of me first thing in the morning. Those of us with naturally curly hair suffer
bed head fur. I don’t even take selfies
before I shake and fluff. Besides, we
had to cover Madi’s Boxing Day at Sarge's bright and early on Saturday. She was a purr-fect two-term mayor and the
town really turned out in boxes to show their appreciation. Can I tell them about our new official cabinet
appointment?”
Bentley: “What? You mean the fact that we are now the Office of Media Relations for the
ENTIRE town of Blogville? Sure, you can
tell them. Remember to say how we will
bring all the Blogville news our friends need to nose.”
Pierre:
“Grr, fine but you forgot to mention that we are also…
Bentley: “The Blogville Police Department Trackers? Of course let them
know that! Just be sure they know when
crime comes to Blogville, our noses hit the ground sniffing!”
Pierre:
“Seriously?! You made two
of the three announcements yourself.
Well, I am proud to tell everybody that we are…
Paisley:
“Excuse me Cousin Pierre, sir.
Did you guys ‘member to tell our friends that y’all are in the Blogville
Community Choir? Huh, did ya? Did ya’ tell how y’all sang at the inauguration? Uncle Bentley is the lead baritone/bass and
you are a soprano. Can I be in the choir
too? Huh, can I? I wanna be the official Blogville Weather
Girl. I can be singing in the rain and
all. It’ll be super duper!”
Pierre: Hello there Little One. I see that you decided to wake up. It's our new Weather Lab Girl, Paisley. Yes sweetheart; Uncle Pierre was going to tell our readers that we were a part of the Blogville Choir under the direction of the superb vocalist Susie. I guess you did that for me though. You and Uncle Bentley are being really helpful today. What neither of you know is that Murphy & Stanley told me about a very special and romantic announcement that is coming to their site tomorrow. I don't want to spoil it, but the Mayorz and Hearts are the subject. *wink wink! How is the weather looking for the week ahead?”

Paisley:
“It is going to continue to be very, very cold with the arctic
blast bearing down on the United States.
I think that y’all should wear a jacket or a sweater when going outdoors
to do your business. When the
temperatures fall into the minus degrees, frostbite can nip your nose,
tail, and paws in only a few minutes. I’m
not saying that you can’t wrestle and stuff when your parents are trying to get
you dressed, do that for sure. It’s just
you don’t want to go out in the freezing cold without the proper attire. If you live where there is a lot of snow, don’t
be ashamed to put on a couple of pairs of boots before heading outside. Oh and don’t walk on iced-over ponds or
lakes. You can’t tell how thick that ice
is and if it cracks, you will fall in and be frozen. I’m not talking about the Disney movie Frozen,
but the real-life bad kind of frozen. That
was my public service announcement, okay?
Stay warm and cuddle with your human.
That’s it from your BFTB Weather Lab.
Boys?”
Bentley: “Thank you Paisley. Don’t forget to follow our weather girl on Instagram. You can find out more about the Blogville Administration

events here. For all Blogville
Tours/Hops stop by our friend Oz the Terrier. From Pierre, Paisley, and myself have a great
