Winter can be hard on your dog’s hair, skin, and coat. The cold dry weather may lead to itching and a dull coat. Fortunately, there is help. Benecoat™ Professional Hair & Skin Frmula is fish oil for dogs. By providing the correct amount of essential fatty acids, it can prevent irritating problems. There is also Krill Oil, Hydrolized Collagen, and Linoleic acid from Safflower Oil. These nutrients combined help keep your dog’s coat as healthy as a puppy’s.
Remember, your dog’s skin is their first defense against parasites and infections. Benecoat provides protection against nature’s elements by providing two nutrients that your dog can’t make on its own. Omega-6 and Omega-3 Fatty Acids are vital for your dog’s oil glands and maintaining overall health and immune response.
Omega-6
Fatty acids are found in grains, seeds, nuts, vegetable oils, and
green leafy veggies. The Omega-3 Fatty Acids are gained by eating certain nuts and seeds with their oils. Flaxseed, walnuts, soy, fish, and krill are all great sources. When your dog receives both of these Fatty Acids, it will contribute to softer skin, a shinier coat and maintain eye, heart, and immune system health.

The
key with Fatty Acids is to have the proper ratio of Omega-3 and Omega-6. The problem is that most store-bought dog
food doesn’t contain the 5:1
recommended ratio.
They usually contain great amounts of the Omega-6 via other animal
ingredients in their diet. It is because
they are fed a diet of
grains. Then, the manufacturer add more grains when preparing their kibble and before you know it, your dog is eating a lot of Omega-6 and very little Omega-3 Fatty Acids.

Hi Y'all,
ReplyDeleteHave to get my Human to ask my vet about that fish oil. I used to take fish oil pills. Those were stopped when we were trying to pinpoint my allergy problems. I haven't taken any in years.
Y'all come on by,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Great review. That little chew is probably a whole lot easier then trying to get the dogs to take a variety of supplements for their skin.

We try to give fish oil or coconut oil as a supplement, but these chews sound like they could be an easier way to provide them with those essentials.
