Bentley: “Thank you for
joining us in another edition of BFTB Channel 7 NETWoof News. I’ll be bringing you the real news that’s
real fun along with my co-anchor Pierre.
As usual, we will hear from our Weather Lab Paisley.”
Pierre: “That’s right, and
we have dug up some great stories this week.
You might have noticed our uber cool hats. We are paying homage to one of the great
literary geniuses of our time. It is Dr.
Seuss Day or National Read Across America Day!
What childhood or adulthood is complete without “Hop on Pop” or “Green
Eggs & Ham”? We encourage all of our
friends to read each day. I’d like to
recommend our daily posts or our books, The Returns series. Dakota's mom just finished The Returns
Book 1 and has a review posted on Dakota’s Den today. Be sure to stop by and see what she
thinks. Back to you Bentley.”
Bentley: “I’m sorry, what
were we talking about? *Snicker That’s was just a joke, I know what we’re
discussing. I was working on my sarcasm
because of a new study that claims dogs have a short-term memory of about two
minutes. Seriously, who did this
study? I have to stand firm on the
belief that none of these researchers must actually own a dog. Have you ever seen a dog walk into a room and
look around trying to figure out why they entered said room in the first
place? Then, have you watched that same
dog walk back to where they were before to see if they left their thought
behind? If anyone has short-term memory
troubles, it’s humans. Just sayin’.”
Pierre: “That really
bites! Speaking of biting, a police dog
in Florida has been forced to resign.
Renzo reportedly bit a Dunkin’ Donut employee on the leg. I’m not sure what brought on the attack, but as
an officer in the Blogville Police Department, I know nothing raises my hackles
faster than when they run out of jelly-filled with sprinkles. The former K9 is spending retirement in Florida
with his human partner.”
Bentley: “I hate to see you
get your fur in a wad. Which brings us to our next story. Did you know that
your dog hair could be used to catch a thief?
Many law enforcement agencies are using dog hair found on suspects or
their belongings to prove they were in your home. I’m thinking all of my shedding should be a
great crime deterrent around here!”
Pierre: “I’ll tell you what’s
a crime! Look at this list from the AKC showing
the most popular breeds. How can the
West Highland Terrier be ranked #37? I
mean look at me. I’m adorable. I’d question the stats, but I’m ahead of
you. Basset Hounds are #41 on the
list. You’ll never guess who is numero
uno.”
Paisley: “Hiya fellas! Oh, I see that you have the official AKC most
popular breeds list. I hope there are no
hard feelings that I’m like homecoming queen popular! The Labrador is number one for the 24th
year. Of course, y’all are my
favorites. We sure did have a great time
at the BFTB NETWoof meeting over the weekend.
I never knew staff meetings could get so dirty!”
Bentley: “We had a great
time. It was obvious that you are a girl
that loves her mud puddles. I couldn’t
help, but laugh at your youthful exuberance.”
Paisley:
“Ya’ll are going to have even more cool mud puddles to splash and race
through. It’s going to rain most of the
week around here. The south will see
warmer temperatures the first part of the week.
I’m saying a possible 70˚ day on Tuesday and then a bone chilling 21˚
Thursday. There is a reason people say if
you don’t like bayou weather, wait a minute and it will change. The northwestern U.S. will be partly cloudy
with low temps in the mid-30s and highs in the 50’s. California will have some well-deserved nice
weather. There is a line of winter
weather making its way toward the east coast.
We are getting that weather on Thursday.
I am sure that New England will break their all-time snowfall record. On a positive note, spring is only 18 days
away! Pierre?”
Pierre: “Thanks Paisley, it’s
nice to have the Weather Lab on the desk.
We hope everyone’s days are bright regardless of the weather.”
Bentley: “Thank you for
joining us today. Be sure to check with
us each day for more stories, reviews, and fun.
On behalf of Pierre, Paisley, and myself, make this an amazing week and
be sure to grab yourself some happy!”
