Packing for a BlogPaws Conference ~ Printable List

I’m a list maker.  I make grocery store lists, to-do lists, and before any trip I make detailed packing lists.  It stems from being a mom, a Brownie leader, and cheer coach.  If I didn’t want to have a little girl without her pillow or retainer, I’d better provide a check-off list.  It has become a bit of an obsession.  The main difference now is that I am only responsible for packing things for my husband, the dogs, and myself.  Believe me, it’s a lot less stressful than a list for twenty girls!
We have had a discussion on the BlogPaws Newbies Group about what we should definitely remember to bring.  I appreciate everyone’s input and you’ll see several of the items below.  I hope that this list will help you remember everything to bring.
BlogPaws 2015 Conference Packing List
When you are deciding which clothes to pack, remember these things:
You’ll want to be comfortable.
You’ll be meeting brand representatives that you may want to work with in the future.
There will be a lot of different pets to pet which means bending, stooping, and hair.
Some of the meeting rooms are chilly, so throwing a light sweater in your bag is a good idea if you are cold natured.
Do not stress out about dressing up for the Red Carpet Nose-to-Nose Award Ceremony.  It is a fun night to dress and walk the Red Carpet, but there are people in jeans or khakis with tee shirts.
You will want to leave room in your luggage to bring home your samples and swag.  A table will be set-up to leave any items that you don't need.  Those items will be donated to a local shelter.
This list is a general guide and will be helpful if you print it and check the items as you pack them.  It keeps you from wondering, “Did I pack…”

Thank you for dropping by our Thoughtless Thursday blog hop.  We are happy to be co-hosting with our friends Ruckus the Eskie and Love is being owned by a Husky.  Enjoy these other thoughtless bloggers too.

  1. It sure looks to me like you have remembered everything! Great list Melissa! I sure wish I could go...but I certainly will be there in spirit!!

  2. My mom always starts a list a few weeks ahead of time so we don't forget anything. I'm working on what to wear for Bailie and me. Hopefully Mom will find something to wear as well and not embarrass us!

  3. what about the items for the doggies ? That is a terrific list - well done

  4. I am a list maker too. Looks like you have things covered.

  5. Fabulous list!! The only thing that isn't needed on that list is a hair dryer, they have them in the hotel, (they often provide shower caps too but not all hotels do. I also bring dry shampoo and of course all hotels provide shampoo, conditioner/soap if any of that is forgotten. What I do is keep a travel case packed in my suitcase at all times (I get the sample sizes at the drug store) and just replenish as needed. That way it is always in the suitcase.

If anyone forgets any of the great items you mentioned above, the hotel often has a small shop where aspirin, etc can be purchased (and it usually isn't too expensive)......

Oh and make sure the shoes are COMFORTABLE...............I wear tennis shoes almost every day!

  6. That is a awesome list, you are so prepared. Wish I was going.

  7. If only . . . one day . . . perhaps . . .

  18. I just returned from a conference in Maryland and one of the attendees wore the all-the-rage maxi dresses with a cute little sweater/jacket and I thought that just had to make packing so much easier than what I do. I may get a dress or two for the conference!

I'd love to hear from you! Bark back!
