Bentley: “Welcome to BFTB NETWoof News for the week of October 26, 2015. We have the dog news that will put a smile on your face. I am joined at the news desk with my co-anchor, Pierre, and Paisley the Weather Lab. As you may know, Paisley is my human brother’s pup and we are going to let her share this week’s Top Story. My mom wanted to tell everyone, but the news set is a Dogs Only area.”
Paisley: “Hiya guys! Thanks for allowing me to start the news with our exciting announcement. Our Top Story is that I am going to be a big sister! That’s right, my mom and dad are expecting a baby. We are all so excited and can hardly wait until its arrival in April. If you promise to behave, I might let you boys play with it too. It’s mainly going to be my best friend, though.”

Bentley: “That is terrific news! Of course, it means that my mom will actually be a grandmother. Good grief, she is going to spoil that baby like crazy. Congratulations, Paisley. You’ll make a wonderful big sister.”
Pierre: “That is really cool, Paisley. It is hard to beat that story! We do have a sweet report, though. A biker rescued a tiny kitten from a busy intersection in Oklahoma. She was stopped at a red light when the kitten “fell” from a passing car. The brave lady got off of her motorcycle and grabbed the poor little thing before it was hit. That kitty is now living with her rescuer and I’m sure will have a wonderful life.”
Bentley: “What a great story. That must have been very scary for the kitten. Speaking of scary, Halloween is this Saturday. We are urging everyone to make sure your pets stay safe by keeping them inside. Trick or treaters can frighten dogs and cats with their costumes. They might also drop candy which is never a good idea for your pets. I’d also like to remind y’all to keep jack-o-lanterns with candles out of your pet’s reach.”
Pierre: “That is important information and we will be sharing more safety tips later this week. Don’t forget to join the big Halloween Spooktacular Blog Hop! We are co-hosting with our pal, Sugar the Golden Retriever. It begins on Friday and runs through Sunday so you can share your favorite Halloween post with everyone. There will be a great prize from Dr. Harvey’s to one of the blog entries. I know that you don’t want to miss your chance to win!”
Bentley: “That’s for sure. Remember that Friday is Fractured Fryday Hairy Tails hosted by Murphy and Stanley. That would make a terrific post for the Halloween Spooktacular! You can track down more information here.”
Pierre: “It’s funny that you mention tracking. I have to share our sports story for the week. My sweetie and friend Bailie from My GBGV Life received her Tracking Dog title over the weekend! She had four turns on a 455-yard course and ran it in an amazingly fast five minutes! I know her mom, and sisters Emma and Katie are super proud of her. It isn’t an easy title to achieve and we couldn’t be prouder of her.”

Bentley: “Way to be awesome, Bailie! *Clap, clap, clap Let’s turn it over to Paisley again who has been tracking the weather.”
Paisley: “We asked for the rain and boy, did we ever get it! The week ahead will bring more rain to the northwest and northeast. The center of the country will be mild to cool. Texas has flash flood warnings in place and will continue to experience heavy rain and storms. The rest of the south will also have rain this week. As much as we needed some relief from the drought, we don’t want to flood. Remember that if you see a street covered in water, turn around so you don’t drown.”

Bentley: “That’s good advice, Paisley. We hope that everyone will visit us each day this week. There are some fun things happening on the Bayou and you don’t want to miss it. Thanks again for joining us today for the news. Until next week, I am Bentley and this is BFTB NETWoof News. Be sure to grab yourself some happy today.”
