Bentley: “Welcome to this week’s BFTB NETWoof News. I am your rover roving reporter Bentley and joining me at the anchor desk is Pierre and our Weather Lab Paisley. We have fetched some great stories for you. Pierre, will you tell them the Top Story?”
Pierre: “It would be my pleasure. We here at BFTB are joining some of our best friends to give you a chance at winning $250! You read that right, two—hundred and fifty smackeroos. We have a Rafflecopter entry at the end of this broadcast for you to enter. Then, you can pop over to the other nine blogs and enter on their sites too. That means you can have ten (10) chances to win. Unless, you don’t need extra spending cash this Christmas!”

Bentley: “I certainly don’t know anyone who doesn’t need more money. Good luck everyone. Our next story is about a hero military dog named Rocky. He and his handler, Specialist Andrew Brown were injured by an IED in Afghanistan where they’d been serving since October. They were flown to Kandahar where they both received Purple Hearts for bravery. Thankfully, they are both expected to recover and will reunite in Fort Hood, Texas soon.”
Pierre: “We are certainly happy to hear that. Now, as you know it is our policy not to dwell or report on the negative news. There is just too much of it and we like to make you happy. However, there are times when we have to be the bearer of bad news. I’ll be brief, but you can get further information on the link in our News Sources. Bravo dog food has had another recall. This time, it is their chicken and turkey recipes for both dogs and cats. Although no illnesses have been reported, they have voluntarily recalled several batches for possible salmonella.”

Bentley: “I always hate to hear about a recall, but it is always better to err on the side of safety. That brings us to our other negative report. Unfortunately, this one is not unintentional. Someone has been spreading a green rat poison on the sidewalks in Brooklyn. One dog has died after eating a pellet and another sickened from licking its paws after walking through a mysterious green powder. If you see anything unusual on your walks, please avoid contact with it. As always, if you see something say something.”
Pierre: “I don’t understand such cruel behavior. This last story is where a few dogs serve their own version of karma. According to a report out of China, a motorist kicked a stray dog that he saw in a parking lot. Instead of resorting to violence against the perpetrator, the dog went and rounded up some of her friends. While the man was gone, the dogs attacked his car by biting the panels and leaving a permanent reminder that karma can be a real bitch.”
Paisley: “That serves him right for being a bad human. Santa Claus will need a few extra lumps of coal this year! Is it time for the weather yet?”
Bentley: “As a matter of fact, your timing is perfect. Please tell me that all of this rain is going to stop.”
Paisley: “Okay, your wish is granted. Across the southern states, it will be sunny. The only exception is Florida where they might see some showers. The center of the country from sea to shining sea will feel a cool down. California will have some clouds too. The northwest will have a chance of showers but not the crazy rains they have been experiencing. Parts of the north will be cold and our northeast is going to be warm with a chance of storms there too. All of the states are dealing with warmer than usual temperatures. It doesn’t feel much like Christmas, but I hope everyone is getting into the holiday spirit.”
