BFTB NETWoof News November 14, 2016

Bentley: “Welcome to this week’s BFTB NETWoof News. We are proud to be your source for good news in a time where everyone is searching for their smile. What is this week’s top story, Pierre?”

Pierre: “I have to say the election has tongues and tails wagging. Of course, I’m talking about the election of our new mayor in Blogville. We would like to congratulate Mayor-elect Arty and his Vice-Mayor Mabel. Arty has pledged to keep Blogville fun and has made some important announcements concerning important cabinet members. Click here to see his new team. BFTB NETWoof News is proud to continue to be the Media Relations Chairpersons. It is our solemn oath to bring the best news to you each week.”

Bentley: “It is an honor that we do not take lightly. In keeping our promise, let’s share some more happy stories. This week, the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia has banned the needless docking of tails for dogs, horses and cattle. It is the 5th province in Canada to prohibit this useless procedure. We are happy for this ban and wish that other countries would follow their lead. Cutting off an animal’s tail or their ears strictly for cosmetic reasons is not okay with us. It just doesn’t make sense and can cause permanent damage to the animal. We don’t think you’d like having your ears stretched because we thought you’d look cuter.” #MyOpinion

Pierre: “The thought of it makes me tuck my tail! Our next story is for the birds…American bald eagles to be exact. It happened in Orlando, Florida when someone spotted an eagle in the drainage ditch with its wings spread. On closer inspection, it was two of our national treasures stuck. At first, everyone thought the eagle with its wings spread was protecting the other. More than likely, the two were fighting and became entangled while flying causing them to fall and get stuck in the drain. One of the eagles was able to fly away after about an hour, but the second eagle took a bit longer. It was rescued by specialists from the Audubon Center Birds of Prey. The second bird was a female and is being assessed for injuries.”

Bentley: “Let’s take a look at this week’s sports. It is all about our friends Cello and Hooch at the Dock Dogs® Diving World Championship! We could not be prouder to announce that Limoncello has been named the 2016 Top Ranked Iron Dog Warrior Team along with his dad, Brian. Hooch was awesome this year and has won the title of 2016 Top Ranked Big Air German Shorthaired Pointer in the world! It is an honor to call them our friends.”
BFTB NETWoof News celebrates Paisley's 2nd birthday
Pierre & Bentley: “We have a little something extra before we segue to our Weather Lab. HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY, Paisley! Woo Hoo! You have grown into such a wonderful friend and we hope that you have an extra special birthday. We love you to the moon and back.”

Paisley: “Awww, thanks y’all. I wish you were here to party with us. You two are the best! Let me give a shout-out to my boyfriend Hooch. I am so proud of him. Now for this week’s weather forecast; there will be showers across the north and even a mixture of snow and rain in the mountains. The west coast will be partly cloudy and the plains will have some showers later on in the week. As for the south and east, expect more sunshine and warm temperatures. Florida could see some showers early but then expect nice weather. Thank you again for the birthday wishes. These two years have flown by and I look forward to being spoiled by my family all day. Guess what, my baby sister has her first tooth! She is growing like a weed and we expect her to be crawling before long. That is when the fun is going to start for me. We are the best buddies and I can’t wait to explore with her.”
Bentley: “That is all great news, Paisley. I know you are going to have an excellent birthday. Tell my human brother to give you extra belly rubs.
We want to thank all of you for joining us this week for the news. It has been difficult finding good news to share with all of the things happening around the country. It is our sincere hope that no matter which side you voted for in the human election that y’all can remember the children and other countries are watching. Try to be a good example whether your candidate won or lost. Violence and hate never solved a single problem nor has it brought us closer to peace.
Have a wonderful week. We love you and want you to be sure and grab yourself some happy.”

  2. Congratulations to those dock diving pups, how exciting! Also a big howling happy birthday to Paisley. It seems like she just came on scene as a puppy! In Europe they seem to be faster about banning things like declawing and tail docking. It is senseless and should not be done. Have a great week boys!

  3. Congrats to the new Blogville administration! Glad those eagles were OK. I imagine they were pretty freaked out to be trapped like that.
