As I reflect on all of the things that I am thankful for this year, my friends of Blogville are some of the ones that fill my heart. If you had told me five years ago that some of my very best friends would be people that I had never met face-to-face, I’d have said, “No way!” Yet here we are in 2016 and my friends in Blogville are the ones that I can count on to pick me up when I’m feeling down and make me laugh when I need desperately a giggle.
There are so many awesome bloggers in our friendly community. Nobody is competing with one another and you can always find someone to help if you have a problem. You can participate in fun-filled blog hops throughout the year. Bentley and Pierre love to strut their stuff at the fur~tastic parties with their sweeties Emma and Bailie from My GBGV Life.
Let me give you another example of Blogville’s caring nature. Last spring I was hospitalized with a high fever. I wrote a note to Ann at Zoolatry and within minutes I started receiving prayers and POTP from my blogging friends and many from bloggers that I didn’t even know. That is what it means to be part of Blogville. Everyone cares about you and are there to lend a hand or paw. There is no question in my mind that their love and prayers made all of the difference in my recovery. I was released from the hospital the morning of our first grandchild’s birth. I was able to get home and be there when she was born. It was a personal miracle to me and I’ll never forget it.
This Thanksgiving I give thanks for this wonderful community. We are celebrating today because our Blogville is worldwide and we wanted to be thankful together. If you would like to become part of the Blogville family, let me know in the comments and I will give you more information.

I am also so thankful for my family which includes Bentley and Pierre. They have made my life so much more fun and have enabled me to always have a story to share here on Barking from the Bayou.
It is my hope and prayer that all of you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. I am so incredibly blessed to call you my friends.
We are joining Dory’s Backyard for Thanks Blogville. Hop over to see the rest of my friends by visiting the blogs below.
