Pierre Westie: “Two cats in New York
City will be well taken care of thanks to their late owner. Troy and Tiger were
left $300,000 for their care in her $3,000,000 will. She
did not have any children and her cats were her babies. We are sorry for their
loss but feel certain they will continue to live a good life.”
Bentley: “That should keep
them in nip and litter for a long time. Bless their hearts.
We
have another happy reunion thanks to a pet being microchipped. Lola the yellow
Lab ran away last year from her Dallas home. The family had given up hope of
ever seeing her again when they received a phone call from the Dallas Animal
Services. Lola had been found and according to her owner, she was fat and happy
so someone had taken good care of her. They are thrilled to have her home.”
Pierre: “We can’t stress
enough how important microchips are for pets. You can read more about them on
our post, Microchipping Your Pet.
I
think we can all agree that dogs make great wingmen. Now we have some
statistics to back that up thanks to National Today. They surveyed 3,000 dog
owners about their best furry friends and came up with some impressive results.
•
59% of men and 66% of women agree dog parents are sexier than non-dog people
•
67% of men and 79% of women say expressing outward affection for dogs is an
attractive trait
•
64% say dogs help them to be more loving and patient
•86%
love the comfort their dogs bring them
Bentley: “As you know, we
pride ourselves in reporting good news but sometimes the real-world disasters must
be addressed. Our hearts and prayers go out to our family and friends in the
Houston area. We are sharing this link from BlogPaws™ that has animal rescues
listed along with ways you can help. Please visit and help where you can.
Let’s
turn now to our Weather Lab who is just north of Houston. How are things
looking, Paisley?”
Paisley the Weather
Lab: “It
is a devastating scene in the Houston area and where Hurricane Harvey made
landfall. We are currently okay and hoping it stays that way. Your thoughts and
POTP (Power of the Paw) will be appreciated.
I
would love to say that our area is in the clear but the south will continue to
be pounded by rain and that tropical storm is slowly moving to Louisiana. That
means you need to take your Relax and Treatibles, Bentley. Most of the southern
states will have rain along with the east coast. There is a hurricane brewing
in the Atlantic that deserves your attention.
Those
of you on the west coast will have sunny skies and if you are in the southwest,
you will once again be hot. The center of the country can expect a pleasant
week. Our friends in the northern states are going to have nice temperatures and
partly cloudy skies.
More than ever I urge you to stay tuned to
your local weather stations for updates and warnings. If you are in the area
where flooding is occurring, remember to turn around, don’t drown!”
Bentley: “Thank you, Paisley.
Our thoughts, love and prayers are with y’all. Please stay safe.
