We
continue to pray for all of those who were less fortunate. The scope of
devastation is hard to comprehend. I don’t think videos and photos can really
capture the magnitude of this tragedy. I’m sure that like me, you have spent the last few days
crying at news of people and pets displaced. The stories are heartbreaking but the love being shown was overwhelming. It was neighbors helping neighbors and proved that this country is not
as broken as it has seemed lately.

I wish we were out of trouble, but Harvey is headed towards New Orleans one day after the 12th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Please pray for Louisiana. ❤

ReplyDeleteWe are praying that Harvey is kinder to Louisiana.
DeleteThank goodness your son and family are OK! We pray that you guys remain safe as well!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jenny. We are not expecting it to get too bad where we live but praying for south Louisiana.
DeleteThank goodness your son and family are okay. Harvey is HORRIBLE!
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad that they made it through the storm. Harvey was relentless.
DeleteHope you guys stay safe. Harvey sounds like a guy that just won't stop the terror. Glad to hear Paisley's family is alright.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. We are relieved that Harvey has left their area and are hoping he has lost some of his anger as he heads toward Louisiana.
DeleteI am so deeply sorry that I am insane and COMPLETELY forgot that your son is now in Texas. I pray they are all ok. I am also praying for Louisiana.......the devastation in Texas right now is just surreal. Rumpy Dog did a great post which I shared on social (with ways to give), I am more than likely going to give to the Red Cross but I linked to Rumpy's blog on the side bar of Cody's blog. Sending you (((hugs))) and pray for safety for you, your family and all in the areas affected by this awful tragedy. xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
ReplyDeleteI will check out Rumpy Dog's post. Our son and his family haven't been Texans for very long but we are so thankful they are okay. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
DeleteWe have been inspired by the way people have been helping each other. Continuing prayers for your son and all the bipeds and quadrupeds.
ReplyDelete.
Thank you very much. Tragedy has a way of erasing hate and bigotry. I hope the love lasts.
DeleteI agree that we are not as broken as it sometimes feels. The stories of neighbors helping neighbors have been amazing. The people of Houston have pulled together in such a beautiful way. My prayers are with you today as Harvey comes to visit. Stay safe and dry. Hugs and kisses from the tribe at Rocket Dog
ReplyDeleteThank you! It is inspiring to see people helping people and pets. Your prayers mean so much!
DeleteGlad your family is safe. It's great to see all the rescue efforts.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Chester. The rescues have restored our faith in people.
DeleteWhen I heard the news this morning Harvey was on the way, you were one of the first I thought of. We continue to keep Texas and your home state in our thoughts. Stay safe. ❤︎
ReplyDeleteThank you for thinking of us. We are fine just some rain and thankfully, our son and his family are doing well in Texas. I think Harvey has overstayed his visit though!
DeleteOur thoughts are with the people of Texas. One of our friends still has no water but another sustained no damage and her horses are safe. Glad your son is safe. FDNY is helping in the rescues.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am glad that your friends are okay too. Our son lost power and water but both were restored rather quickly. The first responders are heroes!
DeleteOh my God Melissa, I didn't make the connection between this tragedy & your son!! They just moved to Texas! I'm grateful they are safe, but now I worry about you! Are you staying in LA or will you be evacuating? Those Poor folks in TX would have been better off leaving. No material property is worth risking your safety for. Sending prayers & hugs your way my friend.
ReplyDeleteLove ya,
Cathy
Thank you, Cathy. They were so blessed to be safe and dry throughout the storm. It was very scary for them and we did a LOT of praying! We aren't expecting any of the really bad stuff up here, just a lot of rain. I'm worried about the people down south of us.
DeleteThank you for the update on your precious Texas family. They just moved there too right?
ReplyDeleteGod Bless Texas and Louisiana...I've seen a lot of hurricanes living in NC but this one is just to quote Lady Ruby the AireGal...a Ba&t..D it needs to leave.
Hugs madi your bfff
Yes, they moved there in late June so they haven't been there long at all. We know they are safe and their home is dry so our prayers were answered. We were supposed to go down there this weekend for the LSU vs.BYU football game. They moved it to New Orleans so I have a feeling it won't be played at all. Thank you for your prayers!
DeleteWe saw the news on Swiss TV, and our thoughts are with you and your family. What a tragedy for so many people ! We cross our paws that Harvey won't be too bad for Louisiana. Stay safe, buddies ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteIt was a tragedy that I pray never happens again! At this point, Louisiana isn't getting hit too badly. We appreciate your thoughts and POTP.
DeleteI am so glad your son and his family got through that OK. We can't stop thinking about all of those who have been so devastated by this. Our hearts and prayers are certainly with Louisiana now.♥
ReplyDeleteJan & the crew at Wag 'n Woof Pets
Thank you, Janet. It has been so scary for them and for us not being able to help. We are so blessed that they are okay.
DeleteWe are purring for all those affected by storm Harvey. Stay safe there in Louisiana!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of your purrs.
DeleteI am so thankful that your son and his family are well. Our friends and family in the Houston area were truly fortunate. So many weren't. My parents now have two couples and one dog who were evacuated staying with them. They are waiting for a river to crest before going home . . . not knowing what "home" will be. Fortunately for us here in New Orleans, the forecast greatly improved yesterday and the last of the feeder bands appear to have passed us today. We will continue living on the edge through the end of hurricane season, and praying for everyone who found themselves in the middle of rather than on the edge of Harvey's wrath.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking of you and hoping that Harvey bypassed y'all. I'm so glad that you're safe and your family is also safe. It was certainly scary.
DeleteIt is really hard to fathom Harvey's destruction. So glad your son and family are safe and pray that Harvey spares Louisiana and Texans can see some light.

ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear your son and family are safe and dry!
ReplyDeleteI am sooooo happy they are safe!!!! the images have just been heartbreaking, and heartwarming.
ReplyDeleteI sure hopes that bastard Harvey leaves everyone alone real soon...it's just too much. Sendin' lots of POTP and AireZens to everyone in it's path!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
