Bentley Basset Hound:
“Hello
and welcome to BFTB NETWoof News for the week of December 18, 2017. We have
fetched more feel-good reports to help put a ho-ho-ho in your day. What’s our
top story, Pierre?”

Pierre Westie: “This is a great report
on how your life can change in ways you never expect. A Missouri barn cat has become a
V.I. C. (Very Important Cat) at the Support Dogs, Inc where they train dogs to
assist people with hearing or mobility issues. This black and white feline goes
by the name D-O-G and is not afraid to run with the big dogs. His job is to
teach the future service dogs not to react to a cat. Rumor has it that he is
purr-fect for the job.”
Bentley: “The canine flu has
been around for about 16 years but the 2015 outbreak in Chicago has brought new
concern to pet parents across the country. There are two major strains of
influenza that can make a dog sick. In the past, that meant two shots but you
can now get a single dose to prevent both types. During this season of travel
and boarding pets, we suggest asking your vet if your dog needs to be
protected.”

Paisley the Weather
Lab: “Yay
for girl power! Hey y’all, how is everyone this week? I have a great forecast
for most of the U. S. and it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
The
Pacific Northwest will get some rain and fog but as we look across our northern states,
we see a good bit of cold weather and snow. Traveling down the east coast, it
will be nice with mild temperatures. Down south, we can expect sunny skies with
a chance of precipitation. Some of it could be snow! Our friends on the west
coast will still have to contend with those high winds. As for the center of the country,
the Plains can also expect a mixture of snow and rain. Everyone else will have
mostly sunny days to get that last-minute shopping done. On Christmas Eve, the weather
looks great for Santa Paws.
Always
check with your local weather for updates or warnings.
Bentley: “We appreciate you stopping
by for BFTB News. We have a few last-minute gift ideas and stocking stuffers to
share with you this week. On Friday, we will be joining Blogville for a
Christmas Tradition blog hop along with our Pet Parade. That is also the last
day to get your pics in for the Blogville New Year’s Eve party!
Have
a wonderful week and try not to let the stress of the holidays get the best of
you. Remember to grab yourself some merry!”

We are just a few days
away from one of the loudest and most stressful nights for dogs and cats. The annual
pyrotechnic displays to celebrate the arrival of a new year can be very scary
for our four-legged friends. That is where Treatibles CBDs can help. Available
in tasty treats, oils and gel caps, this has been a game-changer for Bentley.

oh that's interesting to read about a cat named d-o-g ;o) and I cross my paws for the zoo animals and for all pups in the flu area....
ReplyDeleteMy cat, Miss Gitty, trained our German Shepherds and they gave her all the RESPECT that Aretha Franklin sang about. BOL!
DeleteWe are hearing that the flu is already bad here...and flu season hasn't exactly peaked yet. Great idea about the Treatibles CBD's for New Year's Eve! Sorry we haven't been around much...Another one of our best friends passed away yesterday. It has been very devastating to both my husband and I...two of our best friends in such a short time. Needless to say, we have been away from the keyboard lately. Hope all is well with you and you are getting all of your preparations in order!
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry to hear about your friends. That is so sad. Take care of yourselves!
DeleteAs always, thank you for catching us up on all the important news and starting our week off right!
ReplyDeleteWe keep our noses to the ground so we can sniff out the stories you need to know about. BOL!
DeleteA Kitty called D.O.G...hehehehehe!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's certainly started my week off wiv a giggle
Loves and licky kisses

Thanks and thank you so much for our adorable Christmas card.
DeleteWhat a bummer for service dogs not being allowed to chase cats! We enjoy chasing our own cats around every now and then! Hoping for a snowstorm the end of the week up here! Happy pre-Christmas week!
ReplyDeleteIt is basically the reason that I am not a certified police or military K-9. (*He is just trying to impress his girlfriend, Emma) Happy pre-Christmas week! XXOO, Bentley
DeleteYay - girl reindeer power! These fires are just so horrible. We pray for rain and no wind every single day for them.
ReplyDeleteWe are hoping that they will get a handle on those fires soon. We will leave the reindeer girls some carrots on Christmas Eve.
DeleteWe sure do hope the winds have died down and those fires in Santa Barbara are under control today!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Blogville reminders!!
xoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
It is so hard to watch the footage of those fires. We ate praying they get them under control. The Blogville holidays are such fun!
DeleteHigh winds are really stoking the fires. We want rain for Christmas brought by Dasher and the girls.
ReplyDeleteWe certainly hope the rains come soon. I am dreaming of a wet Christmas for California.
DeleteWe did know about the deer....interesting. Now about that D.O.G. of a cat, we have a black and white cat, but it doesn't help us tolerate cats..In fact, he makes us bark and go WILD!
ReplyDeleteWe thought the reindeer story was pretty cool. Yeah, cats pass by our house and it does NOT calm us down. BOL!
DeleteWhat a brave cat is DOG!
ReplyDeletehugs
Hazel & Mabel
We think so too!
DeleteWe hope that VIC kitty gets extra-treats for that job : we would be scared ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteHe definitely deserves "combat cat" pay!
DeleteWe sure hope the zoo animals are safe and didn't know about the flu vaccine.
ReplyDeleteWe think they have made the best of a bad situation with the zoo animals. Hopefully, they will not have to evacuate more. The human and canine flu are scary!
DeleteWe saw D-O-G on the (other) news, what a great story! One good thing about sticking closer to home is we don't have to worry too much about canine flu or anything.
ReplyDeleteThose fires are so awful, we hope they can get them under control soon!
What a cool tidbit about reindeer - that is so cool!
Jan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
WE have to leave the boys for a couple of days and I am not looking forward to it. They enjoy their stay at the pet resort because they are spoiled but I still hate to leave them anywhere.
DeleteVery interesting about the reindeer- I think they need new names because Dancer and Prancer, etc are boy names :)
ReplyDeleteI agree 100%! No girl should be named Rudolph!
DeleteI just love that photo of the dogs and the kitty.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it perfect for the story?!? BOL!
DeleteOMD, I saw that abouts the reindeer!!! BOL!!! I means, OF COURSE they were chicks! Gurls are the only ones tough enough to make it through a night like THAT! BOL!
ReplyDeleteI ahave been watchin' all of the horrible fires down there, it is just the worst...I hopes all the anipals remain safe ♥
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Mom says it had to be girls because they wouldn't get lost! BOL!
DeleteAnother wagnificient report!
