have 32 muscles that control their outer ear and can rotate its ears
independently 180 degrees.

have striped skin AND fur.
Bentley: “I thought tigers were purple & gold…oh

• A dog’s
shoulder blades are unattached to the rest of their skeleton for greater
flexibility when they run.
Bentley: “I still have a lot of get-up and go at 10
years old!”
• Sea
otters hold hands when they are sleeping, eating or resting to prevent
themselves from floating away. These groups are called rafts and can contain 2
or hundreds of sea otters!
Pierre: “Awww, that is so sweet. We should try holding paws when we sleep.
There is no fear of us floating away but we would be absolutely adorable.”
• A group
of dogs is called a pack.
Bentley: “We do consider Mom and Dad part of our pack
even though they are only human.”
• A group
of cats is called a clowder.
Pierre: “Why do cats get a cool name and we get pack? We need to think of
a better name for a bunch of dogs.”
• Dog
nose prints are as unique as human finger prints and can be used to identify
them.
Pierre: “We have to be more careful where we leave our nose art. Someone
could use our nose prints to frame us.”
• Cats
sleep 70% of their lives.
Bentley: “I must be part cat.”
