Once
the critter was able to walk, the foster mom noticed it would walk in circles
with its eyes only half opened. She decided to take it to a vet for further
help. That is when she discovered the woodchuck was blind. Knowing survival in
the wild was not possible, she decided to keep the fur ball she named Coco as her
own. We are happy to report that Coco is thriving and has even become a comfort
friend to other animals the rehab worker rescues!”

This
next story is concerning a new internet craze that we hope will go away as
quickly as it began! We are talking about the Egg Challenge many pet
parents are sharing online. The idea is to put a raw egg in your dog’s mouth to
see how they will react. While this might seem funny to some, as a dog I would
like to say, stop it!
Not only is it messy, there is a danger of your dog choking on the egg or crunching it and getting sharp egg shells stuck in its throat or stomach. It is not a good idea to just stick an egg in your dog’s mouth for a few thumbs up on the internet. #JustMyOpinion

Pierre: “We love boiled eggs
in our meals but not a fan of the raw egg. They are too slimy for this Westie.
Our
last report will give you all the good feels! It started when a group of guys
went to a bachelor’s party weekend and one of them brought his dog along. The
dog led them to an overturned boat and refused to leave. They turned the boat over
to discover two tiny kittens. No mother cat came to get them so the men did the
right thing and rescued the little babies. The fun weekend turned into a trip
to the vet and kitty sitting. Of course, two of the bachelors adopted the kittens
and they are all living happily ever after.”
Bentley: “It is certainly not
the time of year for baby animals to be outside on their own! We are experiencing
another freezing weekend here on the bayou. What does the week ahead look like,
Paisley?”
Paisley the Weather
Lab: “It
is definitely cold in much of the country. The south will warm up later this
week, but it will be cloudy and cold for a couple more days.
Let’s
look at the Pacific northwest where they can expect some rain. Going across the
northern states, it will be very cold and snowy so bundle up! Along the east
coast, I am predicting rain and showers off and on all week. That rain will be
coming from the middle of the U.S. and should arrive on the coast midweek.
Our friends on the west coast can relax with the warmer sunny weather they are famous for enjoying. The Rockies area will be cloudy and cool.

Spring
is not too far away so let’s try to be positive about these last few weeks of
winter. I’ll be reporting high temperatures before we know it! As always, tune
in local weather for updates and warnings in your area.”
Bentley: “That is BFTB NETWoof
News for this week. I’m not sure if we will be reporting the next couple of Mondays
as we are in the process of packing and moving. You can rest assured that we
will be back as soon as possible with the news to start your week off with a
smile.
We
have a couple of exciting reviews on products that are helping us during the
stress of our home being full of boxes and things changing on a daily basis. Mom says
it is difficult to explain what is going on to us but thankfully, she has found
some ways to help. Extra hugs and playtime helps all of us cope.
Have
a super week and be sure to grab yourself some happy.”

I'm glad this furmily had a heart and a home for Coco... but I'm not egg-sided about the egg thing... why people do such things?

I think it would be fun to cuddle a woodchuck!
DeleteAwww, we love the stories and the happy ending for them all.
ReplyDeleteWe always search for the feel good happily-ever-after stories!
DeleteGood luck with the move. And thanks for sharing the story about Coco and the kitties this week. They made me smile. And we're with you on the Internet egg thing. First teens eating Tide-pods and now eggs for fur-babies? How dumb.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I don't understand how anyone would actually eat a Tide pod! It's no wonder we read such bizarre warning labels on things! LOL!
DeleteWe have never had raw eggs to eat, except for the time I stole some from a robin's nest that was foolishly built on the lowest branch of the pear tree. This was many years ago when I was a pup.
ReplyDeleteWe have had a raw egg mixed with our food but Mom prefers to serve us boiled eggs.
DeleteWe are sooooo happy to hear that Coco is doing well and even paying it forward!! Mama can't believe that whole egg thing...sometimes humans are just plain stupid!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the pawsome news!
xoxo,
Rosy, Arty & Jakey
We agree that Coco is some kind of wonderful! People need to think before doing something they see online!

Looking forward to lots stories from the road.
Hugs madi and mom
Thanks so much. We are ready for it to be over but then, Mom says they have to UNPACK everything they just finished putting in boxes. Humans can be so weird! MOL!
DeleteLove the woodchuck and kitty stories....not the egg one, though. Can't believe people do dumb things just for a thumbs up.
ReplyDeleteWhy do we dogs and cats understand how stupid the Egg Challenge is but humans don't?? Shaking our heads.
DeleteSo glad that Coco has a good home. Can't believe that people would think it a good idea to put an egg in their dogs mouth!
ReplyDeletehugs
Hazel & Mabel
Both of the boys would drop the egg and make a mess. Pierre probably wouldn't take it in the first place since he has trust issues. LOL!
DeleteThe woodchuck story is so sweet. Yuck on the raw egg.
ReplyDeleteWe loved that story too! No thanks on the raw egg.
DeleteOh, I loves the Coco story!!! EGG??! WTD??! I hopes that goes away soon! Nows, if you wants to put a ball of cheese in my mouth....or cheeseballs...or anything with cheese, I would loves that!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥

We are snoopervising most of our stuff. Hopefully, our boxes will be unpacked first. We get hungry after a road trip and we are moving about 3 1/2 hours away. Bring on the treats!!
DeleteWhat a sweet woodchuck story! And who would have expected a bunch of bachelors to be rescuing kittens?
ReplyDeleteNow I need to go look at those dishes you shared from amazon, because they look pretty! :)
