Bentley Basset Hound: “Welcome to BFTB NETWoof News! We are so happy to be back with y’all after our big move to Texas. It is still a work in progress but there are fewer boxes so that is a positive. We have missed reporting and I’m sure the regular dreary news has left you needing a smile. Let’s check with Pierre for our happy top story.”
Pierre Westie: “Everyone knows that a dog can cheer humans up when they are feeling sad. It seems instinctual for us to know when you need some extra love or a puppy dog smile. That is exactly what happened at an airport with Cora the Corgi.
Cora was rescued after being forced to have 15 litters of puppies in her short eight years of life. She was such a sweetheart that her adoptive mom decided to train her as a therapy dog. Although she had never been given the love and attention all dogs crave, it was second nature for her to know who needed special attention. As she greeted people in the waiting area of the airport, there was one man that she set her sights on. When she went to sit in front of him, her mom hurried over to make certain that she was not bothering the waiting passenger. As it turns out, nothing could have been further from the truth. The gentleman smiled and told her that he had lost his own dog the night before and Cora’s love was exactly what he needed. Isn’t that the sweetest thing?”

Bentley: “Awww, that is a wonderful way to start the broadcast.
Our second story is scary but has a very happy ending. It involves Zoey an 8-pound Bichon Frise who was taking care of business in her own backyard. That is when a Bald Eagle swooped down and picked her up in its talons! The family was heartbroken and feared the worst. They wanted to give their beloved Zoey a proper burial so took to social media for help in finding her body.
What happened next was beyond their wildest dreams! A lady called and said she had found stray dog freezing and close to death in the middle of a road. She had taken the Bichon Frise to her home where she could warm her up and get some food in her belly. That poor pup was none other than Zoey! We are thrilled to report that Zoey is at home and doing great after her hair-raising experience.”
Pierre: “I am going to be keeping one eye to the sky from now on because I have no desire to go for a fright flight with an eagle!
We are so excited to wish one of our BFFs a very happy Sweet 16 birthday! That’s right, Madi is sixteen years old and celebrating with a blog hop about learning to drive. There are some hilarious stories that you don't want to miss! Click on the link above for all the participants.
If you’ve read Mom’s books The Returns and The Returns 2~Showstoppers, you know that the characters drive. Tucker the Golden Retriever is usually behind the wheel of their souped-up kiddie car. We thought you’d enjoy the wise words of Miss Gitty the Kitty when Tucker got behind the wheel. She said, “Refrain from grinning when you drive. You’ll get bugs in your teeth.”
Bentley: “We have some big sporting news this week! Our friends Bailie and Madison from My GBGV Life rocked at this weekend’s Barn Hunt. Bailie got her RATN and placed FIRST in her class and first in the trial. She is now the very first GBGV to earn that title!! WOOHOO!
Both girls earned their Barn Hunt Novice Title and have their noses set on the next level. Madison got two legs and Bailie got one in their pursuit of the Open title. We are soooooo proud of y’all. Thanks for sending us the beautiful photo.
We love reporting our friends' accomplishments so if your bestie participates in any type of sports, please let us know by leaving us a message on our BFTB Facebook page.
Let’s throw it over to our new neighbor and always awesome Weather Lab Paisley. Can we expect another beautiful week here deep in the heart of Texas?”
Paisley the Weather Lab: First let me say that I am happier than a monkey with a peanut machine to have y’all living close to me. I look forward to doing more reporting from the BFTB News boat and airplane!
As far as the weather in the Lone Star state, we are expecting it to be nice all week. There is a storm system moving across the south that will be turning up the east coast. Our friends from the Great Lakes region through Maine can expect heavy snow. It is going to be wet along the Pacific coast with soaking rain in northern California. More snow will fall across the Rockies while the center of our country will be dry with mild temperatures.
I want y'all to be careful out there and as always keep an eye on the sky and an ear to your local weather station for updates.”
Bentley: “Thanks for joining us for BFTB NETWoof News. We hope that you have a terrific week and join us each day as we review some awesome products, share some laughs and tips for helping with pet parenting.
It's great to be back and we want you to be sure to go out and grab yourself some happy!”

We saw that story about Cora and it made us cry tears of happiness that she was able to comfort that fella. Dogs are amazing at sensing what even complete strangers need. All the best as you settle back into the saddle.

Poor Cora, how sad that she had to have so many litters. Madi had a lot of posts for her, she is very loved.
ReplyDeleteWOW, Cora and Zoey had some amazing stories! I'm so happy for Zoey, that is pretty incredible that she survived the Eagle snatching. I'll bet her family is spoiling her to pieces now. We are waiting for our 3rd Nor'easter to come tonight. I'm getting a little tired of it, ya know?!
