Dr. Lyon’s Hip + Joint Support. This advanced strength supplement is perfect for any size dog. Bentley and Pierre are completely different in size and activity levels but I’m concerned about both of their hips and joints. Next month both Bayou Boys will be considered seniors although you couldn’t tell by watching them! It is very important that I keep them healthy and mobile to avoid stiff joints.
Dr. Lyon’s Hip + Joint Support has four active ingredients, including glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, and manganese. This incredible combination supports mobility along with the production of healthy cartilage and tissue. That means my boys can look forward to many more years of running, jumping, and playing.
Bentley never turns down something to eat so he gobbled these down as a treat. Pierre has trust issues with anything new so I began breaking the scored tablets and adding them to his food. After a couple of days, he joined Bentley in eating them for a treat. According to the instructions, the initial period is 4-6 weeks where the dosage is double that of the maintenance level.
We are only one week into the initial period due to our move, so I haven’t noticed a difference. I do know how helpful glucosamine is to me and my arthritic knees, so I expect outstanding results for the boys. I’ll keep you updated as we finish our jar of 250 chewable tablets. If you’d like to order some for your best friend, visit Chewy.com. They will be at your door in a couple of days! Thanks to Chewy for sharing this supplement with us.
oooh we hope for outstanding results too... and I'm sure they will come ;O)

DeleteChewy sent me the same thing. Maybe now that Mackie is here, we can see how fast I recover from more vigorous play☺
ReplyDeleteDo you like to eat them for treats? We think they are really tasty!
DeleteI do eat them for treats and mom puts them on top of my meals sometimes too. Mom cooked the green beans. They are not raw but I did sample one that was raw and it was yummy too!
DeleteMadison and I are pretty picky about eating things like that, Bailie eats everything. We are happy with our current supplement, but will keep this in mind.
ReplyDeleteWe love the taste of Dr. Lyon's supplements and the container has 250 tablets!
DeleteSeniors!?! Omg they look like pups still! ❤️
ReplyDeleteThanks! They still act like pups most of the time so it is easy to forget they are supposed to be mature. BOL!

ReplyDeleteI need to order more for myself. I am trying Turmeric capsules for my arthritis and hope to get good results. I'll let you know!
DeleteGlucosamine is on our list of supplements, it did wonders for Angel Dory's hips, and Jakey still jumps higher than high. We can't wait to see how these work for you!
ReplyDeletexoxo,

I am hoping for good results. The boys aren't showing any signs of trouble but it's important to be proactive.
DeleteSandy Cat took some glucosamine when he got older. They also put out some stepstools so he could get to places like the window and bed that he used to be able to jump to.
ReplyDeleteThat is a sweet idea! We have a ramp for the boys to get in our car and it helps us and them! BOL!
DeleteWe got some of that too and wanting to keep her joints healthy, Mabel is getting it on her dinner. Hazel already takes a special arthritis supplement.

Hazel & Mabel
It is never too early to start on supplements...well, these are for dogs over 12 weeks old but you know what I mean. BOL!
DeleteWe hope those help. Wally has taken a glucosamine supplement with good success.
ReplyDeleteWe are happy to read that and have our paws crossed these will keep us active and pain free!
DeleteI hope it helps them.
ReplyDeleteThanks! They taste great too.
DeleteYou have me thinking. I've been pretty happy with the joint supplements we've been using. However, Luke's knee has been popping out more lately. I blame all the snow....but I wonder if it might be time for a change in joint supplements too. I'm going to compare ingredients to see if this might have something our current one does not.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe those crazy bayou boys are going to be seniors!
Jan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
Neither of the boys have trouble and I hope to keep it that way with these supplements. I can't believe they are seniors either! Where does the time go?
DeleteI expect to see those boys starring on the agility circuit in a month!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I am hoping to find a Barn Hunt class here in our new city so Pierre can train. I think he will love it!
DeletePhod is going to need something like this.
ReplyDeleteI am really impressed with these because like I said in the post, Pierre has trust issues with any type of supplement and he enjoys these.
DeleteLove seeing your boys wrestle around. Paws crossed these tabs keep their joints supple and flexible as they age.
