Well, it seems that I blinked, and another week has flown by. Can you believe next week is Thanksgiving?
We are finishing our week by joining some friends for their blog hops. You can click on the host's names and check out the other fun bloggers that are on each hop.

• I can’t wait to have my husband’s cornbread dressing on Thanksgiving. (For those not from the south, that’s stuffing but doesn’t go inside the turkey)
• I am thankful for my family.
• When it comes to pie, it’s pumpkin all the way!
It’s time to get back to nature with Miss Rosy and her brothers Arty & Jakey from LLB in Our Backyard for Nature Friday.
This photo is from our Alaskan cruise. It was taken in the Tracy Arm Fjord about 45 miles south of Juneau. It is truly one of the most magnificent places I've ever seen.
You probably recognize this bridge from countless movies and television shows. It is the Bow Bridge in Central Park. We walk through the park each time we visit my mom and brother. There is always something interesting to see.

ReplyDeleteMy mom went to Alaska several times and always had fun adventures and saw pretty places. It is a beautiful state in the right time of year. I hear this time of year it is just dark.
ReplyDeleteMom has never been to Alaska but she'd sure love to go! I can't wait for a piece of pumpkin pie!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy FriYay!

We celebrate Thanksgiving with football and pizza.
ReplyDeleteAlaska looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWe are really excited for Thanksgiving - the turkey is our favorite:) Mom makes a "family" stuffing recipe with ground beef that everyone loves - been in the family for generations. But we don't get to sample it because it has onions in it:(

Nope we Southerners do not stuff our turkey!! I'm so looking forward to dressing this year too 2x.
ReplyDeleteThanksgiving and Christmas.
I love Alaska!! We took a 4 day land tour then a 7 day cruise down inside passage in 2005.
Hugs Cecilia
Great photos. How cool that your mom and brother live in NYC. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I make cornbread stuffing, but we put it in the turkey despite the warnings of doing that. Have a nice weekend! XO
ReplyDeleteWow!! We love your nature pics today...Alaska is on our bucket list...and I just love walking Central Park whenever we visit NYC!
ReplyDeleteNope I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week (it's like a week early!), and stupid Chanukah is the first week of December this year! I hate when the holidays sneak up like this!
ReplyDeleteWhere does the time go??? We look forward to good food and times with family on Thanksgiving, but we're just not quite ready yet!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful nature photos - two places I've never been, and kind of total opposites (I'd pick Alaska over the city given a choice though)!

Fresh baked rolls! YES! Sign me up!
ReplyDeleteI am with you 100% on the pumpkin pie! Actually, I love anything with pumpkin. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteBring on the burd! TW doesn't stuff a turkey but never had cornbread stuffing. She serves her stuffing on the side ever since the FDA started issuing all those food warnings about stuffing a turkey. Of course we recognize that bridge.
ReplyDeleteMom would love to see Alaska and yes pumpkin all the way

I ha no idea Thanksgiving was so close Eeeep!! Late catching up as just finished work but back to say thank you for the Thankful Thursday hop visit!
ReplyDeleteCornbread dressing is the best! I am looking forward to it, too. This will be my first year making it from my Granny Gunter's recipe, as given to me by my Aunt Charlotte. I cna't wait! :) I also love rolls. I'm a bread fiend. haha
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are great! I think a visit to Alaska would be awesome.
Have a blessed day and a very Happy Thanksgiving. :)
Even this feline likes pumpkin. The Humans give it to me in my food as an organic powder but I think this "pie" thing sounds a lot tastier!

Yes, we're amazed that Thanksgiving is this week. Where does the time go?
ReplyDeleteI work 1 1/2 blocks from Central Park. The Bow Bridge is one of my favorite places there!
Thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! Your Thanksgiving dishes sound like my cup of tea. Not much can beat cornbread anything, pumpkin pie, and fresh baked bread. And what gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the ice chunks in the your Tracy Arm Fjord photo. So lovely. Having gone sailed through it myself, I remember how peaceful and beautiful it was, which your photo captured perfectly!
