There is never a good time to say goodbye to someone you love. On Tuesday, October 30, 2018 we lost one of our best blogging friends. Our hearts are broken. Emma from My GBGV Life passed away in her mom’s arms after a very sudden illness. Words can’t ease the pain of those she left behind. We loved Emma and it was so much fun for Bentley to have the most beautiful girlfriend in Blogville. Emma and her mom were one of our first friends when we started blogging. We got to know them in real life at two BlogPaws conferences. She was a true rock star in the world of pet blogging. This loss just hits too dang close to home.
Emma’s blog will continue with her sisters Bailie and Madison. She taught them so much and I am confident they will make her proud. Emma was all about having fun, making people smile and loving life. She would not want us to be sad for very long. Instead, she would want us to remember how much happiness she brought into our lives in her short time on earth. That is what we are going to do today.
Here are some of our pawsome times with the girl of Bentley’s dreams ♥
We will always love and never forget you, Emma!
This is the first time we met in Las Vegas. I was feeling a little flat.
(We flew to the conference so Bentley came as a flat pet)
This is us at the Sadie Hawkins dance. She looked so cute in her jeans and tee. We had a great time!
We loved ringing in the New Year together. Did we kiss at midnight? A gentleman never tells. ♥
I loved showing Emma how much she meant to me. We made a furbulous couple.
♥ True love stories never end. ♥

Please keep Emma’s mom, her GBGV sisters Bailie and Madison along with her cat siblings Bert and Sophie in your thoughts and prayers.
This is sad news indeed. Even as a non-dog person they were always on my radar and popped up with Emma's sweet face. Fly free sweet and inspiring spirit.
ReplyDeleteI had to read it twice yesterday... and it's still not arrived in my mind... it maybe needs a while to accept this sad fact... so heartbreaking....
ReplyDeleteOur hearts break for Emma's family and friends. Godspeed Emma♥
ReplyDeleteOh my! We are very saddened by this news. We have everyone in Emma’s family in our thoughts and prayers andnare very sorry for their loss.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for being Emma's friend. We are all so very lost without her. We are taking a few days off from the blog and social media because we just can't even begin to figure out how to go on, but we will be back next week. Emma would want us to keep her empire going. I miss her so much, I can't even sleep because I can't stop thinking about her. She was my partner and we were such a great team. This is just something I can't believe.

ReplyDeleteWe saw this news on Facebook. We're so sorry for Emma's family...and all those who loved her so much.
ReplyDeletewhen i first saw it on fb, i could not breath, i was so devastated. i do not know Joy personally, just through her blog and fb. i just adored Emma, what a cute, full of personality, little gal. she was adored by all. i am so heartbroken. i lost my oldest last year and it took me days before i even got out of bed. even today, i still have times, when i just break down and cry. i kept hoping it was a bad dream. wishing Joy and her family the best.
ReplyDeletereally cute pictures of all of you above.

ReplyDeleteWe are so, so sad for Emma's family, and sad for all of us that are also going to miss her so much. Emma was one of our first blogging friends as well. I love how you called her a "rock star in the pet blogging world" because that is how we thought of her as well. Big hugs to Bentley...they were such a cute couple! ♥
