Chews Rescue ~ Choose Barkworthies

Barkworthies® believes in making things simple and that is why we love them. They offer over 200 products from antlers to chews and treats, but you will never find anything artificial in any of them. “Naturally Healthy. Naturally Happy.” is more than just their tagline. It is the idea on which the company was founded. When we were contacted about their newest program, ‘Chews Rescue’, we think their tagline should include, “Naturally Awesome.”
What is Chews Rescue?
Chews Rescue is the name of Barkworthies new shelter program. March 1st is the kick-off to a wonderful philanthropic program that will help the Richmond Animal League in Virginia. Barkworthies will begin by making a $10,000 donation to the shelter. They are also delivering a generous amount of their delicious treats for the rescue dogs to enjoy while they wait for their forever homes. This program will run from now until April 30th.
How Can I Help?
Barkworthies is launching a 2-month Facebook campaign inviting pet parents to support animal rescue by sharing photos of their own rescue pets and telling why rescue is their favorite breed. They will donate an additional $5 to the Richmond Animal League for each Facebook entry.
When the Facebook campaign is over, one lucky dog from the Facebook entries will be randomly selected to win a year’s supply of Barkworthies treats and chews! That’s not all the winning either. The winner will get to ‘chews’ an animal shelter to win a 500-piece Barkworthies donation in their honor.
Why Does Barkworthies Care?
Avrum Elmakis, the CEO  & Co-founder of Barkworthies knows first-hand what amazing family members shelter dogs make. He and his wife adopted their two dogs, Espy and Sushi. Those two pups changed their whole world and became the inspiration for their company. The Chews Rescue campaign is their way of saying, “Thanks.”
Last year, Barkworthies changed their packaging and website to feature rescue dogs exclusively. One of their handsome models, Jackson is a 3-year-old Australian Cattle dog, Pit Bullterrier, and Border Collie mix. His family adopted him from the Companion Pet Rescue. Isn’t he adorable?

Please join in helping to bring the face of rescued pets to Barkworthies Chews Rescue Facebook page. You will not only be helping the Richmond Animal League, you could fetch a year’s supply of treats for your best buddy!

  12. I love pictures of rescue dogs on products. They are more attractive than so many breeds that have to conform to breed standards.

  13. What a great campaign! I'll have to see if I can get a photo of Luke up there. We love companies that give back. I'm not sure we've tried any of their products - we'll have to try to rectify that.
