A Visit to Washington
We recently visited our children in the beautiful state of Washington. I wanted to share more of the scenery with you today. If you ever get the opportunity to visit the Pacific Northwest, I highly recommend it. It was a jam-packed week of fun and family.

BFTB NETWoof News April 24 2017
Bentley Basset Hound: “Hello and thank you for joining us at BFTB NETWoof News. We are happy to be back this week and have some great reports. What’s our top story, Pierre?”
Pierre Westie: “Well, as you probably all know by now, April the giraffe finally delivered her baby. It’s a boy and they are both doing fine. April’s pregnancy has been closely followed by people around the world for months and there was a live stream set up on the Adventure Park’s YouTube channel. An estimated 1.2 million people watched the birth! Isn’t that amazing?”

Flowers for Dory
I love blogging and over the past three years, I have become friends with many other dog and cat bloggers. It is a wonderful way to meet people that love their pets as much as we love Bentley and Pierre. The part of blogging that I hate is saying goodbye to the wonderful dogs and cats that cross the Rainbow Bridge. It doesn’t matter how old they are, it is always too soon.

Where Have We Been?
You might have noticed that I haven’t been on social media very much over the past week. I have a very good excuse. We went on vacation and spent a week with our children in Washington. It was seven days of fun-filled adventures.
Emery, our precious granddaughter, celebrated her first birthday while we were there. I made her a “smash” cake and she loved it. Can you believe that she is already one? She is absolutely the best little girl in our world.

Happy 6th Birthday Pierre
I
can’t believe Pierre is already six-years-old. Time flies by us so quickly. It
occurred to me while I was thinking about his big day that many of you might
not know how he came to live with us. Here is his story.

BFTB NETWoof News April 10 2017
Bentley Basset Hound: “Greetings and welcome to this week’s edition of BFTB NETWoof News. We are so happy that you have joined us today. My co-anchor, Pierre has our top story.”
Pierre Westie: “Topping the news is a study on how long dogs and cats remember things. Results seem to show that both species remember anything having to do with food quite well. It is a matter of survival for them. They also recall tricks when used in repetition. Both dogs and cats will know their humans after years of separation. I personally can remember which trees have the most squirrels!”

Reasons for Smiles
Have you jumped on the coconut bandwagon? It is one of the most popular superfoods around. I add organic coconut oil to Bentley and Pierre’s food daily. They love to lick it right off the spoon too! Coconut and smiles are two of their favorite things. Luckily, Dr. Harvey’s understands and has a perfect solution in their delicious Coconut Smiles.

5 Truths About Scooping Poop
It is International Pooper Scooper Week. I appreciate my friends at Golden Daily Scoop for the reminder. A person not picking up after their dogs is one of my biggest “pet” peeves. You wouldn’t let your child take a dump outdoors and walk away so why would you let your dog? Both are gross!
Let’s look at some facts and fiction about dog poop.

DGP for Your Pet's Mobility
As we age, our joints ache more and we just don’t move as well as we did in our younger years. The same is true for our dogs and cats. Getting old is NOT for sissies! The time to take care of your pet’s joints is now.
