Believing

I worked in a local high school for many years so every time there is a shooting at a school, it really hits home. We send our children to school to learn and expect them to come home at the end of the day. Yesterday, seventeen Florida students did not and my heart breaks for their families and their community. I don’t have any answers to the violence and craziness but still believe there is more good than bad in the world. We are sending prayers for all of those affected by this senseless violence.

   Let me just say this right off; moving is STRESSFUL!! It has been 25 years since our last move, so we have really gone through a ton of stuff. As of today, most everything we own is boxed up and ready for the U-Haul. Neither of the dogs have experienced so many changes in their surroundings. Pierre usually freaks out when anything is out of place, so this could have proven to be a major upheaval for him. Bentley is more chilled but can become very clingy when we are stressed out. Did I mention moving is very stressful?!?

A Valentine's Fashion Statement

Bentley: “You know we are always excited when Chewy shows up at our door. There is no telling what Mom has ordered because the folks at Chewy have a little bit of everything. Ordering is super easy and most products arrive in two days.”

Pierre: “I can’t wait to see what is in the blue box. Fetch it inside!”

What a Difference a Year Makes

Pierre Westie: “Do you remember last year when we celebrated Go Fly a Kite Day by attaching me to a huge kite?”

Bentley Basset: “It seems like only yesterday that you were soaring with the birds and squawking even louder. I’m glad that you finally relaxed and enjoyed yourself.”

Packing It Up

Bentley Basset: Oh My Dog! What is going on around here, Mom? It is like everything we own has been hidden in boxes.”

Pierre Westie: “Seriously, she has even packed up most of our toys. We can only hope that our food doesn’t disappear in a box.”

Me: “Boys, the reason that we are packing everything is because we are moving in a couple of weeks. Y’all will have a new home and yard to explore. I promise your toys, beds, supplies and most importantly, Dr. Harvey’s food is going with us. Why don’t you go play outside while I talk to our friends?
