The Serenity Prayer Tattoo

 The Serenity Prayer has been the mantra for most of my adult life.
The first time I read it, it resonated with me in a way few words ever had. When I decided to get my first tattoo, there was no question what it would be. I love it and recite the prayer at least once each day.
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference."

    My first husband was an alcoholic and that is the mantra of AA. When I went to Al-Anon meetings (to try and learn how to cope with him) I also had that prayer resonate with me. I memorized it and to this day, that is one prayer I say EVERY SINGLE NIGHT before I go to bed. I LOVE it. DakotasDen

    Oh, I do thinks that is a FABulous code to live by, and it should be a part of everyone's life! If Ma wasn't such a wimpy, she would gets one just likes it!
