Happiness Is A Self-Serve Dog Wash

   One of the best things about our new city is it's dog-friendly. The neighborhood has beautiful trails where there are always dogs walking with their humans. There are poo bag dispensers along the pathways too. These are things that make a pet parent happy. It’s the little things we appreciate.

   Moving to another state means finding a new groomer and favorite pet store. It is always scary to take Pierre somewhere the first time. He has been the victim of a bad “do” before so we visited and read a lot of reviews before deciding. We chose a groomer at our neighborhood Pet Supplies Plus groomer after meeting with her. Their reviews were awesome, so we took him in last Friday. It only took an hour and he was ready to be picked up. He looked so handsome and she was even able to trim his nails! We were happy. He was happy. #Studmuffin

Strike Gold with Dr. Harvey's Health + Shine

   Dogs and cats can benefit from additional oils added to their diets. Feeding Dr. Harvey’s homemade dog foods allow me to add the oil of my choice to each meal. I like to mix it up, so we alternate coconut, olive, and salmon oil. They enjoy the taste of all of them but let’s face it…adding oil can be messy. I am always wiping the bottles and jars of runaway drips! It is also important to administer the correct amount. If you add too little, you are defeating the purpose and if you add too much, you’ll be cleaning up loose poop. An Interview with a Really Old Mother

Bentley Basset Hound: “It’s Mom’s birthday and we always enjoy interviewing her on this momentous occasion. Pierre and I have written down some of our burning questions so let’s get right to them.”

Pierre Westie: “Happy birthday Mom! How are you feeling? At your age, aches and pains must be a part of life. Exactly how old are you anyway?”

Me: “You aren’t supposed to ask a lady her age. Let’s just say I’m not quite a senior citizen.”

It Takes a Village to Move

   It is hard to believe that we have been in our new home a little over a week. Our journey began over a year and a half ago. I haven’t shared too much behind the scenes of selling our home and buying a new one in a different city/state. Now that the dust is settling, I want to thank all the people who helped us get here. Believe me, it takes a village!

Pi Day

Needless to say, the Bayou Boys were NOT happy to discover it was Pi Day instead of Pie Day!

Pi Day is celebrated on 3/14 all over the world.

We believe Pie Day should celebrated be EVERYDAY!

Howdy Podnuhs

Howdy y’all! The Barking from the Bayou gang are official Texans and could not be happier. We’re unboxing everything we spent the past few months packing but it is beginning to feel like home. Bentley and Pierre are settling in as they recognize familiar furniture and their things. They have been exploring the rooms and getting lots of smell action in the yard. I have much more to tell you but need to get back to discovering what’s in all of these boxes!

We will be back to full-time blogging next Monday but stop by for some fun the rest of this week!

Spring begins on March 20th which happens to be my birthday. 

We start seeing all of the beautiful flowers blooming and the world seems happier after the sometimes dreary winter weather. Here is sneak preview of some gorgeous flowers to get you ready!
